Shuey Smith LLC represents both landowners and operators in oil and gas transactions... In 1959 John M. Shuey partnered with I. Henry Smith, Jr. and George W. Woodard under the name John M. Shuey. In 1962 the name was changed to Shuey & Smith. Various attorneys joined and left the firm. When W. Gene Carlton joined in 1967 the name was changed to Shuey, Smith & Carlton.
