STEVE ZEIK

Steve was born in Tarrytown New York in 1962. He began playing guitar around the age of ten after picking up his sister's guitar. He also played trumpet through high school and made first chair in several all county band festivals. Around age 16 he began to develop his passion for the instrument studying privately for the next five years with two of the areas best teachers. Practicing countless hours a day Steve developed his technique and soon began to play in bands performing in clubs like the Gemini and The legendary Rising Sun. Some of his biggest influences have been Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, Vinnie Moore, Joe Pass, George Benson and Yngwie Malmsteen. In 1985 Steve graduated from SUNY Albany with a bachelors degree in Computer Science and spent many years working in that field. In 2002 Steve became very interested in teaching guitar and began teaching again. He is presently teaching guitar full time and really loves seeing his students grow as musicians and guitarists.....
