Step It Up International, LLC, was first established in 2005. The founder, Michael Anderson, graduated from Michigan State University in 1990 and has been working in the shoe business ever since. The initial goal of Step It Up was to be a lower-cost alternative to some of the larger wholesalers in the private label wholesale market. However, after a year or so of that business model, Step It Up sought to further expand its offerings and reach out to more customers. As a result, Step It Up began to sign licenses in which to make a name for itself as a branded footwear company. From time to time Step It Up still does do some special make ups on the private label side of things but today the primary focus of Step It Up International, LLC, is on the children's and men's licensed businesses...
