Aisling hails from West Clare. She graduated as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2012. Aisling has a keen interest in small animal internal medicine. In her spare time, she likes to keep fit, likes reading, listening to music and going to the cinema.

Andrew Doona

Andrew is originally from a mixed farm in Co. Kerry. He studied Veterinary Medicine in UCD and qualified in 1992. He spent 2 years working in Tipperary in mixed practice before moving to London where he gained valuable experience in small animal and equine practices. He returned to Ireland in 1997, where he gained partnership with Kevin Maher. He is an enthusiastic and progressive vet and has enjoyed expanding and developing the practice over the years. He achieved the GP Cert in Small animal surgery in 2011. He particularly enjoys surgery both small and large animal and excels at orthopaedic surgery, where he keeps up to date with all the latest techniques by attending seminars and courses when his busy schedule allows. Outside of work, Andrew does the occasional triathlon, plays soccer, cuts the grass and provides a taxi service to his three children!

Aoibheann Hassett O'Sullivan

Aoibheann is from West Clare. Aoibheann Studied in Letterkenny Institute of Technology and graduated in 2019. She then went on to complete her honours in Emergency and Critical care in Letterkenny Institute of Technology before joining our team in July 2020. Aoibheann loves all things cats and has one fur baby of her own called Fergus. In her spare time, she plays rugby and enjoys an occasional hike.

Carol comes from Athy. She has been part of the Vetcare team for the past 12 years both in Athy and more recently in Rathcoole. She graduated in 2011 from Athlone IT with a Bachelor of Science (Veterinary Nursing). She has a special interest in canine behaviour and has a pack of nine dogs from Chihuahuas (Patch and Stella) to a Newfoundland (Gus).

Emma Twamley

Emma qualified from Dundalk IT with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2015 and started working in Vet Care right away. She has also completed a Pet Health Counsellor course. You'll find her mostly in our Athy clinic, but she also works in our Carlow clinic. She enjoys all aspects of nursing, especially radiology and surgical nursing. Most of her spare time is spent with her horse Brooke, with whom she competes at A.I.R.C/Riding Club events.

Fiona Nolan

Fiona is our groomer and receptionist in Vetcare Rathcoole since 2014. She graduated from Bray Institute of Technology with a Certificate in Animal Science and Management. She is passionate about animal welfare and has 3 dogs and three cats.

Gemma Campion

Gemma is originally from Athy and has worked with Vetcare Athy since 2005 although occasionally covers in our other branches. She has been nursing since 2001 and graduated from St. Johns College Cork with a FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Animal Care. She has completed a Pet Health Counsellor course and enjoys advising clients about nutrition and general care of their pets during our nurse clinics. She enjoys all aspects of nursing including medical and surgical nursing. She loves to travel and has worked as a nurse during her time in Australia. She has a rescue dog and two cats, which initially came in to the clinic abandoned

Linda Langton

Linda lives in Barrowhouse outside Athy. She joined the practice in 2005 and works alongside Tricia in the accounts department in the Athy Branch, looking after the accounts payable section. Although she is rarely seen by our clients, as she works in the back office, if you listen carefully at reception you may be able to hear her infectious laughter and good humour!

Lorraine qualified as a Veterinary Nurse through the RCVS in 1992. She attained her equine and management certificates whilst working in referral practice in the UK for 12 years. She enjoys teaching and has worked as a full-time lecturer at Berkshire Agricultural College in the UK. She loves critical care, feline behaviour and geriatric nursing in particular. She has worked in VetCare Carlow since 2003. She is happily married to Jason and has two boys, along with 3 hairy babies Scoobie, Bessie & Poppy! For fun​, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Mairead Coleman

Mairead graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Nursing from UCD in 2013. She started her career in Tipperary where she spent three and a half years before joining Vetcare in January 2017. She enjoys all aspects of nursing especially surgical nursing and running nurse clinics especially weight management clinics. Back home in Lismore, Co, Waterford, she enjoys helping on the family farm, hill walking and catching up with the GAA.

Marie Ayers

Marie is our resident pet Groomer in Vetcare Carlow. She has 14 years experience in grooming, 12 of which has been spent working with the Vetcare team. She very much enjoys her job and nothing satisfies her more than spending hours working on a neglected coat and making it look beautiful again and the reaction from the pet's owner when they see their pets amazing transformation.

Marie Cahill

Marie is from Co. Laois, near Castlecomer but now lives in Timahoe, Co Laois. She joined the Vetcare team in August 2016, having completed her Fetac Level 5 in Animal Care and Fetac Level 6 in Animal Science in Carlow IT. She comes from a farming background and has always had a passion for animals, especially horses. Marie also has a degree in Business and Equine from Athlone Institute of Technology and worked as a show jumping groom for over two years. At the weekends she enjoys nothing more than chilling out with her two Bernese Mountain dogs, ‘Lucy' and ‘Ruben' or out on her horse ‘Annie May'.

During the weekend, she plays rugby with the Portlaoise ladies rugby team.

Tom graduated from UCD in 1992 and having gained much valuable experience working in a variety of practices both small and mixed practice in Ireland and UK. He gained partnership with Kevin and Andrew in 1998. He completed a post-graduate certificate in Canine Sports Medicine in 2010. He endeavors to provide a competent, thorough and professional service in a friendly atmosphere to all our clients. He is from Limerick and is married with four children. His interests outside work include sport, sport and well - more sport!

Tricia is the longest standing member of the practice having first started working with Kevin Maher Snr. in the original clinic. She learned from him that attention to detail was paramount and tries to apply that in her work. She has tried her hand at every part of work at the clinic and has seen changes in the practice over years. Accounts are now her primary role. She qualified as an Accounting Technician in 2005 and payroll Technician in 2006.
