A HIPAA-compliant typing application designed by an MTSO for MTSOs who type in an EHR. This application counts each keystroke and mouse click an MT types inside an EHR, yielding a character count and subsequent line count that can be reviewed and verified. Values are assigned to each key on the keyboard and each mouse click, which is inserted into a formula that translates to a line count. Scribe-It features also include auto-text (word expander) inside the EHR, an easy method for colleagues to review word questions by listening to the dictation and giving feedback, a summary of keystrokes, and billing reports... That the healthcare provider is the most crucial and skilled person in a medical facility/office; therefore, the practice is most well-served with the physician dedicating time to quality one-on-one patient care, not performing data entry... That transcription and EHR adoption go hand-in-hand.  To streamline efficiency, one should enhance and support the other.
