Jason Meyers - Founder, Managing Director
Jason Meyers is our founder and serves as our managing director. He is also an active entrepreneur serving on various corporate boards and acting in an operating capacity for the companies funded by rounds of financing led by him. Jason began his career in the financial services industry at Gruntal & Co (now Stifel Nicolaus & Co.) shortly after the stock market crash of 1987. He has over 25 years of experience in investment and merchant banking for early stage companies. He led or participated in the origination and syndication of hundreds of private placements and initial public offerings in a broad range of industries including entertainment, technology, healthcare, and financial services. In the first half of the 1990s, Jason served in various capacities for the New York-based investment banking firm of Josephthal, Lyon & Ross, specializing in private and public offerings for emerging high-tech, biotech and healthcare growth opportunities. He was part of a team that led the origination and syndication and of over $1 Billion in private and public offerings of equity and debt securities. Since 1996 Jason Meyers served senior roles at various investment banking boutiques specializing in private placements and initial public offerings as well as restructuring and capital formation. Since 2005, Jason has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Turbodyne Technologies, Inc., a developer of patented electrically powered and digitally controlled air charging systems for hybrid, gasoline and diesel internal combustion engines. Jason founded one of the first modern FinTech companies in 2006 which served clients that included Facebook, Kayak.com, Steve Madden, SIMS Metal Management and others. Jason founded Vestcomp in 2012 and focuses on providing critical guidance and growth capital to innovative startups and disruptive entrepreneurs.
