Harry D. Callicotte

Harry D. Callicotte, P.E., J.D., a managing member of C & A Land and Energy, LLC, has over 32 years of legal and business experience, primarily in the energy sector. Mr. Callicotte is admitted to practice before the Kentucky Bar, as well as both the Kansas and Missouri bars. He is also a registered Professional Engineer and a 30-year member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He has a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Kansas, an M.B.A. in Management from the University of Texas, and a J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. Prior to forming C & A Land and Energy, LLC, Mr. Callicotte was Senior Corporate Counsel to Magnum Hunter Production, Inc., Lexington, Kentucky. Before that he was President and Managing Partner at Callicotte and Associates, PSC, and President of Mid America Crude Oil, Inc. Mr. Callicotte began his career in the oil and gas industry in 1979 as a roustabout for Cities Service in Eldorado, Kansas. After completing his undergraduate degree, he worked as a Drilling Engineer for Exxon in the Permian Basin. He then continued his career as a consulting Petroleum Engineer for various oil and gas concerns in the Midcontinent region before founding his own exploration and production company in Kansas. In addition to the above, Mr. Callicotte achieved the rank of Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve. This included five years of active duty from 2003 to 2008, where he was deployed for three of those years to Iraq. While in Baghdad, he served as the military liaison to the Iraq Oil Ministry. For his service to our nation, Mr. Callicotte has received numerous awards and decorations to include two Bronze Stars, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal and the Combat Action Badge.

William C. Abel

William C. Abel, Jr., CPL, a managing member of C & A Land and Energy, LLC, has over forty-six years of business experience, with thirty-three of those being in the energy sector. Mr. Abel has been a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen since 1982, a Certified Professional Landman since 1993, and has served as Regional CPL Chairman. He is a member of the Appalachian Association of Professional Landmen, and served as President in 2008-2009, Vice President, 2006-2007, Education Chairman, 2000-2008, and was on the Board of Directors 1995-2009. Mr. Abel is a current member of the International Right of Way Association, the Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the AAPL, the Ohio Oil & Gas Association and the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation. He began his career in the energy sector in 1980 as a Landman for MFB III, Houston Texas. He later worked in the Appalachian Basin and successfully completed pipeline projects for Ashland Exploration, Eastern States Oil & Gas, and Equitable Production Co. Prior to forming C & A Land and Energy, LLC, he served as President of William C. Abel & Associates, Inc., and operated offices in New York, Ohio and West Virginia, completing pipeline projects in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio, for Chesapeake Energy.
