WOOD GRAIN AND STAIN
Updated 284 days ago
Much of my childhood life was connected to wood and woodworking in one fashion or another. My grandfather owned hundreds of acres of farmland and woods in mid-western Michigan. From the woods he cut timber, pulling it out of the woods with teams of horses to his sawmill. His saw mill was belt-driven off an old tractor turning a saw blade taller than me at the time. There he made crates for the Michigan fruit farmers. No fancy power tools, just hammer, nails and sweat.
