Brad C. Klein - CFO

Dr. Klein graduated with highest honors with dual majors in biology and psychology from Rutgers College, Rutgers University. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College) concurrently with a Master's in Business Administration in Health and Medical Sciences Administration from Widener University. He completed his neurology residency and headache fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He is a board-certified neurologist with additional certification in Headache Medicine and Electromyography. Dr. Klein joined Abington Neurological Associates in 2008 and serves as the Medical Director of the Abington Headache Center. He is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Neurology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Klein is actively involved in neurological clinical trials and works on state and national levels to advocate for patients with neurological illnesses. He is the founder and past President of the Pennsylvania Neurological Society, current member of the Governor's Pennsylvania Healthcare Cost Containment Council, and has served in multiple national leadership roles within the American Headache Society as well as the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), including as the Chair of Medical Economics and Practice Committee and member of the Board of Directors for the AAN. As a national key opinion leader, Dr. Klein has collaborated with multiple companies and non-profit organizations to help bring new treatments to patients and increase awareness of neurological illnesses. He has served as a research investigator, consultant, and educator to providers and patients, improving neurological care in his community as well as across the country. Dr. Klein has received numerous local, regional, and national honors throughout his career. These include the "Patient's Choice Award," Philadelphia Magazine and Castle Connolly's Regional "Top Doctor" award, Jefferson Health's Klein Award for outstanding leadership as a healthcare innovator, the Pennsylvania Neurological Society's Lifetime Service Award, the American Headache Society's Distinguished Service Award, and the American Academy of Neurology's Leading in Excellence Through Mentorship Award. Dr. Brad Klein is a Clinical Professor of Neurology and CFO of Abington Neurological Associates, practicing the highest quality, comprehensive care for patients with all neurological disorders. He also has sub specialty expertise and certification in EMG and headache disorders including migraine, cluster, trigeminal neuralgia, post-traumatic headache, and post-concussive syndrome. Additional services provided include trigger point injections, nerve blocks, and Botox. Dr. Klein also serves as a national key opinion leader and educator in neurological diagnoses and treatments. Dr. Klein's additional interests include state and federal advocacy for patients and the health care system. With over 15 years of advocacy experience including direct legislative bill oversight and invited legislative testimonies, Dr. Klein utilizes his understanding of health care policy, medical economics, and the legislative process to successfully advocate for the well being of patients throughout Pennsylvania and the country. He currently serves as the Chair of the Medical Economics and Practice committee of the American Academy of Neurology, in addition to other state and national positions.

David C. Weisman

In 2008, Dr. Weisman founded the Clinical Trial Center at Abington Neurological Associates. While serving as the site's director, Dr. Weisman has conducted numerous clinical trials in mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease, working with nearly every major sponsor and investigation to develop disease modifying drugs in Alzheimer's disease. Therapeutic mechanisms include monoclonal antibodies against amyloid and tau, beta secretase inhibitors and modulators, anti-fibrillization/anti-oligermerization agents, polytherapy, and a variety of symptomatic treatments. Under Dr. Weisman's direction, the ANA Clinical Trial Center participated in the first positive later stage trial supporting a disease modifying signal in early Alzheimer's disease, which became lecanemab. The site also helped advance the drug that became donanemab. After approval, Dr. Weisman was the first to dose these medications in the state of Pennsylvania. Other notable advances include trials in ocrelizumab and ofatumumab in MS; levodopa oral inhalation powder in PD; and partnering with Dr. Hana Choe to show the value of endovascular therapy in acute stroke. Dr. Weisman's research focuses on clinical trials for the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's disease, mild cognitive impairment, and other dementias. The site also has helped develop and test biomarkers in Alzheimer's disease and advance novel treatments in other conditions such as stroke, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and pain. Dr. Weisman lectures on dementia and is a proponent of an early diagnosis and better therapies for Alzheimer's disease. He invented, developed, and validated the Philadelphia Cognitive Exam, a computerized cognitive test and expert screening system to diagnose and detect dementia. Dr. Weisman has devoted his research career towards advancing new therapies in Alzheimer's disease and devotes his clinical time to memory and cognitive problems. The trial center also advances treatments in stroke, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson's disease. He has been featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer for fighting on behalf of his patients. Dr. Weisman has published numerous scientific articles and abstracts. In the popular press, published pieces include Seed Magazine on Buddhism, Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy and football, and the mind. His technical scientific papers appear in the journals Neurology, Archives of Neurology, Stroke and Seminars in Neurology. His Alzheimer trial work collaborations have been published in Neurology, New England Journal of Medicine, and Archives of Neurology. Dr. Diana Li

Dr. Diana Li, MD is a double board-certified neurologist with a passion for treating patients with headache disorders. She helps her patients by focusing on a combination of lifestyle factors and medications, and personalizes treatment plans according to individual needs. She has expertise in a variety of treatment procedures, including Botox, nerve blocks, trigger points, sphenopalatine ganglion blocks, and neuromodulation. She sees patients in the outpatient clinic as well as inpatient setting, where she consults for and collaborates with other medical specialists. Dr. Li earned her undergraduate degree in biology from Harvard University and her medical degree from Temple University/Lewis Katz School of Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed residency at the University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident and was professionally recognized for excellence in clinical care. She completed a fellowship in Headache Medicine at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. She is board-certified in Neurology and Headache Medicine, and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and American Headache Society. A native of Montgomery County, Dr. Li joined Abington Neurological Associates in 2023. She remains active in teaching medical students and residents and conducting research for clinical trials and academic publications. She is a contributor to the textbook Migraine Pain Management.

Dr. James H. Cook

Dr. James H. Cook received his medical degree at Medical College of Pennsylvania (now Drexel University College of Medicine), and completed an internal medicine internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center and a Neurology residency at Temple University Hospital, both in Philadelphia. He completed a fellowship in Movement Disorders at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT. He is board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and is a member of the Movement Disorder Society and the American Academy of Neurology.

Dr. Kandan Kulandaivel

Dr. Kandan Kulandaivel earned his medical degree from the prestigious Madras Medical College of the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University in South India. He completed his Internship and Neurology residency at Hahnemann Hospital affiliated with Drexel University College of Medicine. During his residency training, he received multiple awards for his research projects. He also completed a Clinical Neurophysiology fellowship at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He then practiced clinical epilepsy in Maine before joining us. He is experienced with video EEG, ICU and intraoperative monitoring. He is board certified in Neurology, and also certified by the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology in advanced central clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy monitoring. He is ABPN board certified in Epilepsy. Dr. Kulandaivel was recognized as a Top Doctor Under 40 by the Pennsylvania Medical Society in 2017. Dr. Kulandaivel is a partner at Abington Neurological Associates, one of the largest private neurology practices in Montgomery and Bucks County. ANA has provided high quality comprehensive neurological care to the community for over 50 years.

Dr. Minsoo Kim

Dr. Minsoo Kim is a board-certified neurologist specializing in neuromuscular medicine. After earning his medical degree from the Medical School for International Health (a collaboration between Ben-Gurion University in Israel and Columbia University), he completed a Neurology Residency at Saint Louis University, followed by a Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. His professional journey has taken him from Washington to Ohio and then to Reston, Virginia, where he recently practiced at the Virginia Spine Institute. With extensive training and experience across diverse clinical settings, Dr. Kim is skilled in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, including nerve conduction studies (NCS), electromyography (EMG), Botox injections, and management of complex neuromuscular disorders. Dr. Kim's research and clinical interests are showcased in multiple peer-reviewed publications and posters, particularly relating to small fiber neuropathy in pediatric populations. Dr. Kim served as a sub-investigator in five clinical trials that involved ALS, CMT, FSHD, inflammatory myositis, and dermatomyositis. He has coauthored articles in the Journal of Clinical Neuromuscular Disease and presented his work at esteemed conferences such as the American Academy of Neurology and the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

John S. Khoury

Dr. John S. Khoury attended Cornell University prior to starting his medical degree at Thomas Jefferson University. He remained at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he completed an internship in internal medicine and was then Chief Resident in Neurology. He won numerous awards while at Thomas Jefferson University, including awards for teaching and stroke research. He is a contributor to the book Gray's Clinical Neuroanatomy and has multiple presentations, including publications in Neurology and Epilepsy Research. He completed a fellowship in Sleep Medicine as the Chief Fellow and is the only practicing neurologist in this area who is dual board certified in Neurology and Sleep Medicine. He currently serves as the Associate Medical Director of the Abington Memorial Hospital Sleep Disorders Center.

Lee J. Harris

Dr. Harris earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York in 1984. After completing an internship in internal medicine, he then pursued his neurology residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology. Since completing his neurology training at Columbia, Dr. Harris has been practicing with Abington Neurological Associates since 1989. He is board certified in Neurology, with subspecialty board certifications in Clinical Neurophysiology and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Harris serves as Associate Director of the Abington Neurosciences Institute. He is also medical director of the Abington Balance Center and the Abington Multiple Sclerosis Center.

Steven D. Factor

Dr. Steven Factor is a graduate of Northwestern University, where he completed a double major in Philosophy and Economics. After a very brief stint with the bulls and bears of the Chicago finance markets, he earned his medical degree from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. He completed his internship and neurology residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and then headed south for a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where his clinical research activities included investigational protocols into epilepsy treatment. Dr. Factor is experienced in the field of intraoperative monitoring, as well as the treatment of epilepsy and headache. He is board certified in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, and Epilepsy.
