Agnieszka Zygmunt

Agnieszka has been analyzing, conducting research, experimenting, and designing services for years. Over the past years, Agnieszka has conducted research activities in various industries (from NGOs and education, through design, to FinTech and Virtual Reality). She specializes in research activities, especially in the Product Discovery phase, where she operates on the largest number of unknowns, connecting user needs with business needs. On a daily basis, she is a Lead UX Researcher at 10Clouds, where she supports the discovery of audience needs in innovative products and leads a team of UX specialists.

Alicja Biernat

As a trainer, she has been working with the EY Academy of Business for several years, providing training on the topics of labor law, bullying and discrimination Alicja Biernat has nearly twelve years of experience in practical counseling on labor law and anti-bullying prevention. She gained experience at the law firms of Ernst & Young and TGC Corporate Lawyers, among others. She was also a specialist in the Labor Law Department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy. She currently runs her own labor law firm. She supports Polish and foreign clients in preparing strategies related to employee dismissals and forming relationships with employees. She assists clients in negotiations with trade unions, procedures for amending collective bargaining agreements, employee takeovers and employee restructuring. She also advises on how to optimize working time and salaries, create correct and functional employee documentation, as well as labor, salary and company benefit fund regulations.

Artem Kovtun

Artem provides IFRS training courses and courses preparing for selected ACCA exams. Artem is a graduate of Kyiv's Vadym Hetman National Economic University in Kyiv. He holds the title of a member of the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). He began his professional path in finance as an auditor at EY, where he specialized in auditing the financial statements of companies in the real estate, services, retail, and telecommunications industries. His main professional interests include group cash flow management, US GAAP financial reporting, and real estate development. In his free time, he plays guitar, is active in fitness, and reads anything related to Napoleon Bonaparte. Artem provides IFRS training courses and courses preparing for selected ACCA exams.

Brian Connolly

Brian is a co-founder of the EY Academy of Business and has been providing training courses since 1996. He has developed many training programmes, including the very successful 12-day programme on IFRS. Brian also developed the US GAAP Diploma. Holder of three professional accounting qualifications: chartered accountant (ACA), cost and management accountant (ACMA) and tax adviser (AITI). Brian is a seasoned EY trainer, putting his diverse international business experience in good use by helping organizations achieve their targets by empowering their people through energetic, value adding training programs. He has developed a variety of programmes including university postgraduate programmes and has conducted professional training seminars with emphasis on IFRS, US GAAP, accounting and finance to corporate audiences in many countries including Poland, Hungary, Russia, Romania, UK, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Turkey, India, Philippines, Argentina and others. With Brian participants will be highly motivated and will enjoy interactive learning and application of skills. He received his education at University College Dublin in Ireland. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI). He has worked in reputable audit and financial advisory institutions since 1985 - initially at BDO Binder Hamlyn and later at Ernst & Young Audit. He conducts training courses preparing for examinations for various international qualifications, not only for Ernst & Young employees but also for external clients from many sectors of the Polish economy. Brian has been delivering training courses preparing for ACCA exams since 1996. He is also the author of many training programmes, including a 12-day program in IFRS. Since 2001, he has been conducting US GAAP training courses of his authorship. He also teaches selected topics of the joint EY Academy of Business and SGH postgraduate programme - International Finance. 4. In addition, Brian provides a significant number of IFRS-related training courses in the Middle East, particularly in Dubai, Kuwait and Bahrain, mainly as open courses. Participants are predominantly qualified accountants working in industry and commerce.

Dr. Mike Jankowski-Lorek

Dr. Mike is a solution architect, developer, data scientist and security expert with more than 15 years of experience in the field. Dr. Mike designs and implements solutions for the Databases, Network & Management area, mainly for Microsoft platform for medium to enterprise-level organizations. Dr. Mike holds multiple certifications, especially in security, database and software development. As a passionate person, he loves sharing his knowledge. Since 2007, he has been closely cooperating with the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Warsaw, teaching security, database and data mining-related subjects. Dr. Mike is additionally interested in Big data, High Availability and real-time analytics especially when combined with machine learning and artificial intelligence or natural language processing. He completed his PhD in 2019, and as a university Lecturer and Director of Consulting, he combines academic knowledge with professional experience and strong technical skills. Dr. Mike is already an author of multiple scientific publications, including a chapter in "Encyclopedia of Social Network Analysis and Mining" published by Springer. In private, he likes sailing on the sea and the ocean. Being a typical geek, he also loves all of the possible math riddles which he does really well.

Georgia Sophocleous

Georgia graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa USA with a BA in Economics and Finance. She is a member of the ACCA. Since 1998, Georgia has worked as a trainer at EY. She provides training courses in the basics of financial (IFRS) and managerial accounting as well as strategic management subjects for EY employees and individual clients. She prepares students for ACCA exams both in Poland and abroad. Georgia is also the author of training materials for financial and managerial accounting subjects.

Joana Matos

Through her work at Rational Games Inc., she has had the opportunity to teach at prestigious companies and government institutions, such as the German Foreign Ministry, the EU International Telecommunication Union, and the BBC. She is also a visiting teacher at both Reykjavik University and the University of Iceland. Maciej Kocon

He has been working with the EY Academy of Business since 2017. He is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics (majoring in finance and banking) and the Aarhus School of Business (M.Sc. in Finance and International Business), as well as the EDHEC Business School (Certificate in Finance). For 12 years, he worked in the consulting department of one of the so-called ‘Big Four' companies, participating in consulting projects for banks and financial institutions. He also worked in one of the leading Polish banks as a dealer of financial instruments working with corporate clients. At EY Academy of Business, he mainly conducts training courses aimed at financial sector institutions, which are related to financial markets, risk management and corporate finance.

Later on, he worked as CFO of an investment bank before fulfilling his ambition to become a professional trainer.
