Lyda M. Baro was Federally Certified as a Spanish Court Interpreter by the Director of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts. (In 2012 she was one of the 903 Federally Certified, Spanish Court Interpreters in the US) She is also a Master Licensed Court Interpreter in the State of Texas and a bilingual Mediator for the Dallas County Juvenile Department. Her experience as a Conference Interpreter expands from televised political debates to international business conferences. She has served as the interpreter for several United States and Mexican Presidents as well many other foreign dignitaries. As an ex-pharmaceutical representative, Lyda Baro expanded her medical training to become a Medical Interpreter after completing the Bridging the Gap (BTG) Medical Interpreter Training Program. The BTG curriculum was developed by the US Department of Health in conjunction with the Cross Cultural Health Care Program. She later became an Authorized Trainer on the BTG curriculum after completing its Train the Trainer Program.
