We have rather a large property, and we have been wondering what we can do with some of the land that is not very fertile. We have decided to let a local university come in and set up some wind turbines in a paddock near the dam, and we've been able to generate enough power in the drier months to power the water pumps to get water all around the farm. It's been a really great exercise for us in not getting stuck in our way. I have started a blog to show other farmers how they can use wind powered turbines...
