CSWM

The Comox Strathcona Waste Management service area is located in the Coast Salish, Kwakwaka'wakw, and Nuu-chah-nulth territories... CSWM oversees a multi-material recycling program and has active re-use and re-purposing programs (diversion) in place at each of our landfills. At present, it is estimated that close to half of the solid waste generated in the districts we serve is diverted through these programs... The CSWM service also provides a wide range of educational programs that encourage region-wide waste reduction efforts through "The Power of R" and organics composting.
