D1 ENGINEERING

D1 EMS was established in 2009 with a business aspect of fast quality machining services. Our founder, Sunny S. Duong, is a second generation machinist with engineering background. At the age of 15, he started his journey into the world of manufacturing engineering. His studies and certifications includes blueprint reading, jig and fixturing, welding, metallurgy, electrical, application engineering, CAD/CAM design, CNC programming, prototyping, and complete set-up of nearly all machining and grinding processes (Both manual and CNC). Sunny started his 1st machine shop in 2004 with a 1,400 sq ft. shop in Ontario, CA. From 2004-2009, He grew the company into a 8,000 sq.ft full serviced machine shop with large capacity. Long story short, the company unfortunately hit a brick wall. They were forced to closed their doors due to partnership issues and the infamous recession of 2008-09 era.
