DESIGN-TECH PUBLISHING

While I always wanted creativity to be the focus of my career, I have always enjoyed continuing to be creative after the workday ends. I developed a "Clue" birthday party where my oldest niece had to guess who took her presents, what they did it with, and where the presents were located. For Christmas one year, my wife and I created a totally customized "Smithopoly" game for my side of the family and a "VanHulstopoloy" game for her side of the family... I launched Design-Tech Publishing Ltd. in 2007 in anticipation of starting a newspaper publication covering something else I really enjoyed at that time: Miami University sports. While a critical deal to launch "MIAMI Sportspage" would ultimately fall through, establishing Design-Tech Publishing still gave me the opportunity to do creative work I enjoyed. One of those projects was writing and publishing a short book. Another was helping local retailers with advertising.
