DEFIANCE - Key Persons
Steven J. Sondergaard began his career by serving as a police officer for almost ten years before attending law school. His first experience as a lawyer was working for the largest law firm in Findlay, OH. Later, he served as an Assistant County Prosecutor in Hancock County for the juvenile and criminal divisions. In 1993, Steve became a faculty member of Defiance College and has since risen to the rank of full professor.
Steve is currently operating his own private practice under the name Steven J. Sondergaard in Defiance, OH, which focuses on collaborative law, divorce, custody, estate planning, and criminal defense. He is a member of the Defiance City Schools Foundation, the Defiance Area Fish & Game Club, the Mercy College of Ohio Board of Trustees, and is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association.
