Bruce Haycock

I started at Master Electricians in March 2020 right at the start of our first Covid-19 lockdown. This was an interesting way to start a new job and a great introduction to learning to communicate through formats like ZOOM and Teams. I have been involved in the electrical industry in a few different ways. I have owned my own company, work for other companies I have also served some time with etco as an Apprenticeship Co-ordinator in the Waikato area. Throughout my working life I have mainly stayed involved with the Electrical Industry but have also worked in the Adventure Industry and been employed by the Ministry of Education to set up a pilot scheme working with young people who struggled to fit into the normal confines of a High School. During my down-time I love spending time with my family and mates. Anytime I can I try to escape to the beach to get amongst the surf and a bit of scuba diving.

Bryce McClure

Job Titles:
  • Central Regional Manager
I started my career in the Electrical Industry in 1987 at the Electrical Co-operative Society of New Zealand (Electrico) in Wellington. I was there for a few years learning the wholesale game then spent the next 33 years at various wholesalers as Counter Staff, Lighting Specialist, Data Specialist and Sales Rep for a number of different companies. The last 13 years were at Advance Electrical Wholesalers (10 years as the Upper Hutt Sales Rep , then 3 years in the New Business Development Group for the Wellington region). I started at Master Electricians in August 2020 - it was a big change from Electrical Wholesaling. Coming to Master Electricians I will be able to support new and existing Electricians from a different angle. I look forward to catching up with the M.E contractors in my region. Please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to assist in any way I can.

I am an electrician having started my career in the electrical industry in Ireland in 1997, emigrating to New Zealand in 2007. I have worked in electrical contracting, mainly in Christchurch, and was heavily involved in the rebuild following the Canterbury earthquakes. I sold my share of an electrical contracting business in 2018 to pursue my passion for Occupational Health and Safety, undertaking a Diploma in Workplace Health & Safety Management which I have now completed. During this period, I was employed as a QHSE Advisor in the Electrical Supply Industry where I gained additional experience in HV Transmission and Distributions, ICAM Investigations and Auditing. I am looking forward to combining my skills, knowledge and experience to assist our members.
