Mrs. Emily Kim Eccles

Mrs. Eccles came to New York from South Korea about 30 years ago, she graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology and worked in top fashion brand companies in decades. She is managing a company that is focusing on food presentation design. Mrs. Eccles understands the importance of a caring and nurturing teacher to young students in both academic and personality development.

Mrs. Lin Horvath

Job Titles:
  • Intermediate Chinese Instructor
Originated from ShangHai China, Mrs. Horvath received her Ph.D from University of Southern California, Masters degree from University of Michigan. She has been teaching Chinese lessons for a few years at weekend schools and camps.

Ms. Erhan Ma Beginner Chinese

Job Titles:
  • Chinese Instructor
Ms. Ma has been teaching Kindergarten and Grade 1 Chinese since 1999 after she came to the United States. She was a full-time pre-school teacher and manager when she lived in China. Ms. Ma teaches private tutoring lessons by referrals.

Ms. Grace Pan

Job Titles:
  • Math Instructor
Ms. Pan worked as VP at Citi Home Equity at Citibank for 10 years after received her MBA in Accounting in USA. She has more than ten years experience in teaching Math Olympics, currently tutoring Math Kangaroo. She is an active PTA member and contributor at local English and Chinese schools, and has been a President at OCA-WHV, a non-for-profit organization, in the past two years, three years of EVP, and many years of Board of Director.

Ms. Jaclyn Liu

Before working on the Edgemont Enrichment program, Jaclyn was a full time QA Manager at WWE, leading international and domestic teams on quality assurance of digital projects. Jaclyn is an active volunteer in the community. She volunteered at Huaxia Chinese School since 2005. She was elected as PTA Chairperson for 2011 school year. She participated and established Huaxia Chinese School of Greater New York (locates in White Plain High School) in 2012. HXGNY has undergone rapid development from about 300 students in the first year to nearly 800 students in the fourth year. During the development process, Jaclyn has contributed to the school as a school board director, vice chairman, and Secretary of the Board at HXGNY. The valuable experiences accumulated during the years have prepared her to establish the Edgemont Enrichment program. Jaclyn had also organized or participated in many community events. To name a few, she is the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 Edgemont School Board Nomination Committee member; an activity team member of the Edgemont Chinese Association; and a Board of Director at the Overseas Chinese Association (OCA). At OCA, Jaclyn hosted the OCA Ninth Future Stars Concert; co-organized the Asian Heritage Festival that was held at Kansico Dam; and helped at voting registration 101 seminars.

Ms. Jun Cao

Ms. Cao is an Arts & Crafts teacher at a local Chinese school, and her specialties are water coloring, origami, crafts, and Chinese painting. She is a Scarsdale Art Association member; and 2015(Graphic) Winter Show First Price winner. She graduated from Santa Ana College.

Ms. Lilian Sun

After Ms. Sun received her Master's degree in Chinese Education, she has been teaching at a private high school, Huaxia Chinese Schools, after school programs, etc. various places and as private tutor in the past years. She has broad knowledge in textbooks and materials. She believes in customized teaching methods for diverse students. Ms. Sun would like to contribute to the Chinese Education with her expertise and rich experience. Ms. Sun also gives tutoring lessons to K-G12 students.

Ms. Nancy Ma Abacus

Job Titles:
  • Instructor
Graduated from Liaoning University, majoring in financial accounting, studying Abacus Calculation during the school, exam level to expert level three. She utilized her abacus skills at workplace in China. She has been teaching young students for the past years in both English and Chinese languages.

Ms. Yongquan Yuan

Job Titles:
  • Science Instructor
Ms. Yuan was a part time teacher when she was in college, she volunteered in a local Chinese school for a few years while she had a full-time position in financial software development. Yongquan received her Master's degree in Astrophysics and Computer Science in United States.
