After graduating in law at Groningen University, Willem started his career in 1997 at Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) in the retail department. In 2004 he became head of the department and in 2006 he was promoted to partner. Under his lead C&W reinforced her position as market leader in the area of retail property advisory services. He has been involved in many appealing assignments and transactions for national- and international retailers¹, developers², as well as private and institutional investors³. After 14 years Willem decided to leave C&W. Thereafter he and his family have made a dream journey across South America. Early 2012 he founded Engelvast.
