Amanda is our Director of Operations. She brings her love of design and organization to Enlightened Lighting by overseeing our daily operation and procedures. She keeps us running as smoothly and efficiently as possible, so we can keep our energy and focus on our customers!
Amanda is a Northern Virginia local, born and raised in Fairfax County. She graduated from James Madison University and after spending three years teaching middle school English in Fairfax County, she switched gears and pursued her passion for interior design. In 2015, Amanda launched Amanda Van Roy Interiors, LLC. In 2020 her design journey brought her to Enlightened Lighting first as a lighting designer, and then as our director of operations.
She currently resides in Loudoun County, is married to Aaron, and has two children and labrador retriever named Scout.

Andy leads our Enlightened Lighting sales division.
Andy was born in Fairfax and spent the first part of his childhood in Fairfax County before moving out to Warrenton, Virginia. Andy began working in the outdoor lighting field six years ago. He started off as a part of our installation and maintenance team, before transitioning over into our sales division. He is passionate about lighting design and delivering excellent customer service.
Prior to working for Enlightened, Andy held various jobs working with outdoor contractors. Andy is an avid New York Giants fan, snowboarder and movie buff. Just a few years ago he added the role of "dad" to his resume with the birth of his adorable daughter Paisley.

Bryce is our Field Manager. He's originally from Richmond, Virginia and loves snowboarding, golf, and the Atlanta Falcons.

Josh is the knowledgable, electrical guru on our installation team, in charge of managing all field operations.
Josh was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Growing up in a small town of under 400 people where it was common to get snow as early as October and continue to get snow into May, the move to Northern Virginia in 2002 was a big change.
Josh has taken over 400 classroom hours in electrical training, home automation training, and has installed over 2,500 outdoor lighting systems.
Josh is married to Marie and they have two boys, in addition to two dogs and one lizard.

Karen is the driving force behind our office team. She is in charge of our company scheduling, billing and customer relations. When you call the main office phone line, Karen is the friendly voice you hear on the other end.
With over a decade experience in the green industry, Karen loves developing new systems and procedures to make the office run efficiently.

Laura brings her social media-savvy skills to our company's blog and creates and manages Enlightened Lighting's content across various online marketing platforms and social networks.
Laura is a native of the Northern Virginia area, having grown up in Springfield and Fairfax. She attended the University of Virginia, and comes from a family rivalry of UVA and VA Tech alumni. Shortly after graduating she met and eventually married Patrick; today they reside in Prince William County and have two children.
Laura began helping with Patrick's lighting career after the birth of their first child and she has previously filled various roles on his administrative team. She currently assists with Enlightened Lighting's social media marketing and PR, while also running her popular blog BeltwayBargainMom.com.

Patrick is the lighting mastermind behind Enlightened Lighting.
Patrick was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. While earning his finance degree from UNC Charlotte, he began working with Tom Fenig, a pioneer in outdoor lighting. During college, Patrick designed over 500 outdoor lighting systems for Tom's company.
Upon graduating in 2001, Patrick bought an outdoor lighting franchise from Tom's company and moved to Northern Virginia. During his 10 years with the franchise, Patrick helped design four products for two of their manufacturers.
After fulfilling his franchise obligations, in 2011, Patrick left the franchise world to start his own LED lighting company, Enlightened Lighting. Patrick has designed and installed lighting systems in over 5,000 homes throughout his career, and is one of the very few Virginia Class A contractors specializing in landscape lighting.
Patrick along with Damien Sanchez and Josh Palmer founded Sterling Lighting, a manufacturer of custom LED fixtures. Patrick has been involved with every aspect of designing the full product line, which includes 9 patents and an additional 9 patents pending.
Patrick married Laura in 2005 and they have two children, Benjamin and Abigail, plus an American Mastif and bearded dragon lizard.
Patrick has over 20 years in the lighting industry and finds that his passion and excitement to show people the beauty in light is as strong as ever. He served on the Board of Directors for The International Landscape Lighting Institute (illi) and is a current member of illi, the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), and the Association of Outdoor Lighting Professionals (AOLP).
