FRONTIER CONSULTING ENGINEERS - Key Persons
Education: Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering from University of Rochester.
Experience: After graduating University of Rochester, Ben worked at a consulting engineering firm in upstate New York and gained opportunities in mechanical design, central plant analysis, retro-commissioning, and project management. When he returned home to Redding in 2011, he started Frontier Consulting Engineers to provide engineering services to the Northern California area. Under his leadership, Frontier has grown into a leading engineering firm in the region. Ben provides overall leadership to the company, with an emphasis on the healthcare industry. Ben continues to be involved in the daily operation of Frontier while seeking to train and develop other engineers in the company.
Outside the office, Ben enjoys spending time with his family, backpacking in the Trinity Alps, camping on the Northern CA coast, reading good books, a competitive game of pick-up basketball, and traveling. He and his wife Natalie have three daughters and one son.

Experience: Chase joined Frontier in 2019 as an intern after graduating from CSU, Chico. During his time earning his bachelor's degree, Chase took on leadership roles for engineering projects as well as in extracurricular clubs. After graduating, he continued at Frontier as a Mechanical Designer working toward earning his Professional Engineer licensure. After his hard work and dedication, he is now a Mechanical Engineer at Frontier. He strives to bring leadership, communication, and teachability skills to Frontier to provide excellent engineering services to the firm and their clients.
In Chase's spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son. In the summer, they love boating and kayaking on nearby lakes with their friends. He also enjoys game nights, playing basketball, and taking road trips.

Education: Bachelor of Science, Building & Construction Engineering from University of Technology, Baghdad - Iraq.
Experience: Ghassan joined the Frontier team in 2018 as a drafting technician. He works on a variety of projects, including government and private projects of various types of commercial and residential buildings.
When Ghassan is not working, he enjoys bike rides with his daughters and drinking Turkish coffee with friends and family. He and his wife Zena have three daughters.

Experience: Jason joined Frontier immediately after graduation from CSU Chico in 2014. Throughout Jason's experience at Frontier he has had the opportunity to design over 60 commercial restaurants, has excelled in complex plumbing systems engineering and has been granted status as a Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) as recognized by the American Society of Plumbing Engineers. Jason manages a wide range of projects and is familiar with the requirements of both OSHPD and DSA. Jason strives to bring the highest quality deliverables to his clients via cost effective solutions, exceptional communication and prompt turnaround times.
Outside the office, Jason enjoys playing volleyball, hiking, backpacking, boating and traveling around the world.
Education: Bachelor of Arts, Youth Ministry from Simpson University.
Experience: John joined Frontier in 2020 as a drafting technician. He works on a variety of projects, including healthcare, government and private sector projects of various commercial building types.
Outside the office, John enjoys spending time with his wife and children, fixing cars, building things, spending time in the mountains, and running sound for concerts, events and DJs.
Experience: Josiah joined Frontier in 2022 as a drafting technician.
Outside of the office, Josiah Moran has been passionate about dancing for 10 years. From ballet to ballroom and social dancing. Additionally, Josiah impresses with his saxophone skills, adding a melodious touch to his repertoire. His unique combination of technical expertise and artistic flair is invaluable in any creative endeavor.
Experience: Kristen joined Frontier in 2012.
Kristen handles all of the administrative functions for the office.
When Kristen is not keeping the rest of the office in check, she can be found spending time with her husband and four kids and enjoys going to Disneyland.

Experience: Matt joined Frontier in 2013 as a drafting technician.
Outside the office, Matt enjoys working on computers and drinking Dutch Brothers coffee.

Experience: After a summer internship at Frontier, Nate graduated from Cal Poly and returned home to Redding, beginning as a full-time employee in 2017. Since then, he has had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of mechanical design projects in the healthcare, education, and commercial sectors. Gaining valuable first-hand experience under the excellent leadership at Frontier, Nate seeks to provide honest professional engineering services to his clients and community.
Outside of work, Nate enjoys playing music, reading theology, writing fiction, and going to the lake with his wife and daughter.

Education: Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering from Oregon Institute of Technology
Experience: Nathan spent three summers as an intern at Frontier before graduating from Oregon Institute of Technology in 2021 and started as a full-time employee at Frontier immediately following. Nathan has worked in a variety of power, lighting, photovoltaic, and emergency electrical system projects in sectors including healthcare, commercial, industrial, and education. He strives to bring communication, creative solutions, and practical, cost-effective electrical engineering solutions to Frontier and its clients.
In Nathan's spare time, you can find him on the slopes of Mt. Shasta, or hiking and camping with his wife, Kaylee, dog Bucky, and cat, Steve. He also enjoys being an electronic hobbyist, 3D printing custom designs, and running.

Experience: Nathaniel interned for two summers at Frontier before graduating from CSU Chico in 2o21 and starting as a full-time Mechanical Designer immediately following. Nathaniel is working toward earning his Professional Engineer Licensure and he aims to effectively translate customer desires into well-designed and cost-effective solutions.
In Nathaniel's spare time, he enjoys cycling, fishing, and going on adventures with his wife.
Education: Noah received a Bachelor of Arts in Business with a Marketing Emphasis from Simpson University in 2017. He has spent 5 years in Utility Vegetation Management working on PGE Contracts prior to his time at Frontier Consulting Engineers.
Experience: Noah joined Frontier in 2023 as a drafting technician.
In Noah's spare time, he enjoys spending time outside, completing house projects, playing soccer, and being with family and friends. He and his wife Allie just welcomed their first son, Levi, in 2022.
Education: Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering from Florida International University
Experience: Prior to joining Frontier in 2017, Rod worked several years in the industry in South Florida with an emphasis in plumbing and fire protection systems. In his 20+ years in the consulting field, he has accumulated knowledge and experience by being involved in an array of projects ranging from airports, courthouses, fire stations, healthcare, schools and universities, to high rise commercial and residential buildings. Rod strives for excellence in mechanical systems design while being efficient in working with clients, contractors, and local jurisdiction authorities.
Outside of the office, Rod enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, hiking, camping, playing soccer and playing music. He and his wife Rebeca have two daughters.

Experience: Tristan joined Frontier in 2018 as a drafting technician. In 2022 Tristan became an electrical designer at Frontier and is using his skills to help design electrical systems.
Beyond work, Tristan enjoys 3D printing, building computers, and working on house projects. He also has a creative side, with hobbies in graphic design and music.
