Ryan Marshall - Founder

Job Titles:
  • Director
  • Founder
Ryan Marshall, M.Div. Ryan is the most recent addition to our team at Hope, and he brings nearly fifteen years of pastoral ministry experience to his work as a therapist. Having received his Master's of Divinity from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in 2011, he knew it would be a great place to continue his education for this new season of his work as a therapist. Ryan is working on his Master's of Arts in Counseling (‘24) and is serving at Hope as a Pre-Master's Clinical Intern. Ryan brings warmth and compassion to the counseling relationship and is eager to work with people of all ages who are facing all kinds of challenges. Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) are the most prominent influences on his eclectic approach, and because of his experience as a pastor and chaplain Ryan may be particularly helpful to clients looking to explore the integration of their faith and mental health. Ryan is equally committed to coming alongside clients for whom faith is not a priority or who may come from a different background. Ryan is the founder and race director of The Jog for Joy 5K: a fun run in support of mental health resources for teens and serves on the Substance Prevention Alliance of Needham as a community advocate. He loves being outdoors, making music, hosting friends for dinner, and spending quality time with his family. Ryan is accepting new clients for in-person and Telehealth appointments. As an intern he is not able to bill health insurance for services. Reach out to Ryan for an initial conversation at rmarshall@hopepsych.org
