Alexa brings international experience, global perspective and a lengthy track record in stunning design to her work at Hungerford. She grew up in a family with a rich history of over 40 years in interior design. Following her education at McGill in Montreal, Alexa spent the first 9 years of her design career at esteemed firms such as Kelly Hoppen in London and Rachel Laxer in New York. Her first large scale personal project was a 13,000 square foot chalet in the French Alps that was featured in a luxury interior design book published by Beta Plus Publishing. Her work graced the front cover of Interiors Magazine shortly after featuring a beautiful home she designed in Silicon Valley. After returning to Vancouver in 2011, Alexa continued to work both locally and internationally in Europe and North America to further develop her design aesthetic and project management skill set. She also had the opportunity to spend some time in recent years working in construction management deepening her knowledge of this area of the business. Alexa approaches each project with creativity, inspiration and a global aesthetic that extends beyond the borders of the West Coast.
Janie Hungerford brings over a decade of experience in the field of interior design. Her design sensibility combines the ease of West Coast lifestyle with a vibrant palette and a sophisticated blend of décor styles. Her expertise spans from residential to commercial projects, including complex heritage renovations. Following a degree in Film from Queens University, and an interior design diploma from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Janie earned her associate's degree from the esteemed Parsons School of Interior Design in New York City, where she learned to cultivate her creativity beyond the ordinary rules of design. She is a master mixer of colour and texture, seamlessly blending different design periods under one roof. When it comes to design, no two projects are ever the same.
