The following year, Hunt Oil Company began looking for a site to develop a refinery to process oil from the Gilbertown Field. The town of Tuscaloosa, Alabama was chosen for its proximity to road, rail and the Black Warrior River... By 1996 HRC had become one of the largest suppliers of refined petroleum products in the region. In 2003 Hunt Refining acquired Mississippi refining assets from Southland Oil Company which increased our refining capacity. In 2010, Hunt completed a three-year expansion project which further increased crude refining capacity. In 2017, we invested in upgrades to refine a broader slate of crudes to increase our flexibility to serve our customers...
