Brett Vargo

Job Titles:
  • Member of the Leadership Team
  • SVP Mortgage Operations
  • Vice President - Mortgage Operations
The mortgage business is engraved in Brett's blood; his father is a 50-year veteran in the industry. However, Brett began his own journey nearly 30 years ago, and in that time, had the extreme pleasure of serving in just about every capacity possible: from sales and marketing to a wide range of operational functions. The past 21 years of Brett's career have been in various aspects of management, including operations, sales, marketing, branch, and regional. Brett says, "The only constant in the mortgage business is change." Each day brings new challenges and new rewards. His lifelong credo has been "learn something new every day," and, even after three decades, mortgage banking has given him the opportunity to do so. Above all else, Brett knows that the work we carry out matters to people. It matters to the borrowers buying their first home, to those making an upgrade for a growing family, and to homeowners putting themselves in a better financial position. "It's an awesome responsibility and privilege to help make an impact in someone's life." It's a privilege Brett will never take for granted. iServe has been Brett's home for over 10 years, and he can say with the utmost honesty that he won't affiliate himself with a company whose vision and values don't align with his own. "Ultimately, a company is only as good as its people, and iServe has a team of some of the finest mortgage professionals with whom I've had the pleasure to work with." Brett sees that there has been a significant number of technological advances in the mortgage industry that have allowed the lending environment to become more efficient and effective. "I don't see automation supplanting the human element of the business, but workflow automation will continue to expedite the timeline of the lending process." Inherently, the mortgage business is a people business that thrives on human connection and customer service. Technology is a means of supplementing our human resources to deepen the customer experience.

Brian Monjazeb

Job Titles:
  • Member of the Leadership Team
  • Western Regional Manager
  • SVP Western Regional
Brian has been in the lending industry since 2006. He has a Bachelor's in Finance and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in New Venture Management. Prior to entering the lending industry, he was in consultations and owned/operated several startup ventures in various fields such as: finance, automotive, international production, manufacturing, as well as real estate construction and development. An entrepreneur at heart, Brian is motivated to build. His position allows him to achieve this on numerous levels: whether it's helping a loan officer establish and build their brand, setting up and growing branches, working on digital marketing systems, or establishing processes to differentiate iServe, Brian is always looking to help the company and its team members grow. Brian enjoys how iServe gives him the support and freedom to be innovative and try new things. "In most corporate environments within the industry, everyone fills a specific role with set responsibilities, but not at iServe." Brian has carved out his unique role, which feeds his strengths and interests. "As home loans become more and more of a commodity, it's important to find ways to differentiate. New innovations in Fintech and digital marketing present opportunities to develop competitive advantages in the areas of systems, procedures, marketing, and branding. On the loan product front, while Fannie, Freddie, and Ginnie Mae account for 97% of new mortgage loans originated, there are emerging opportunities in the Non-QM or Portfolio segments." Brian is excited that iServe is making an investment in making these loans available to originators, and by extension, to borrowers.

Christina Dellacamera

Job Titles:
  • Member of the Leadership Team
  • SVP Business Development
  • VP of Business Development
Christina has over 15 years of experience in the Finance industry with a specific focus in marketing and investor relations. Christina graduated from Salve Regina University with a degree in accounting. She's worked both on the capital raising side developing relationships with hedge funds and other investment companies, as well as on the sales side. Currently, Christina's main responsibilities consist of building out different marketing initiatives to help attract new business and focusing on growth strategies to help increase revenue. Christina is passionate about the teamwork and the respect the iServe team has for one another. "It's great working for a company where the people love where they work and are always striving to do their best, but it's the growth opportunities which is the most exciting part. To be a part of the huge growth of iServe has been astounding," Christina elaborates to say "I get to assert my own ideas on projects. The reward at the end of the day is that you can say you were a part of it, and that's a great feeling." Christina has been with iServe since its inception in 2007 and is well respected and valued for all that she brings to the firm. She has seen firsthand the amazing growth and stability throughout the years. At iServe, Christina reinforces the sense that "you never feel like just another employee - you're a part of a real family and team". Christina knows that she's working with professionals who are open to learning from one another and will continue to push her to take on new and challenging opportunities. She believes we will see a steady flow and increase of buyers coming to the market, and that there's a whole group of people sitting on the sidelines waiting for just the right time. Technology in the mortgage industry will continue to drive the industry in the coming years, and while most of the transaction is digitalized, lenders will look to become digital from end-to-end, making the loan process smooth and stress free. "It's an exciting time in the lending industry, and I look forward to embracing future innovations in the hopes of continuing to make the lending process easier for everyone."

Henry Jonas

Job Titles:
  • Member of the Leadership Team
  • SVP of Capital Markets
Henry Jonas, our Senior Vice President of Capital Markets, has 30+ years in Capital Markets. He received his BBA from the University of Florida in 1986, and then went on to get his MBA from Auburn University in 1993. Henry enjoys analyzing hedge positions and creating strategies to help mortgage banks improve their executions within the bond market. His work can directly correlate with the company being able to achieve more competitive rates. As his unique skill set typically is only seen in large companies, he takes pride in growing smaller companies and watching the sales staff become more successful. As a competitive individual, he loves helping smaller companies grow and take market share from the usual "giant monster mega lenders". Capital Markets are a sales tool that most executives don't think of like this. He retired after we sold Platinum Mortgage in the Southeast. After a bout a year and a half, he found himself bored and missed the competition. Henry had many opportunities with various companies, but he chose iServe due to its excellent management and company size. iServe struck him as a cause, not just another lending company. The team at iServe are the type of roll up their sleeves and do what they must to close a loan; that's a company that has the foundation to grow! Platinum Mortgage was the similar, and we grew it from a former broker to one of the largest privately held mortgage banks in the Southeast. Henry sees technology continuing to grow in the industry. However, too many companies rely upon their technology fleet. At the end of the day, production staff must be able to pick up the phone and get a decision maker on. Companies that do not offer service to the sales staff and borrowers quickly will eventually lose market share. Technology vs personal contact is a balancing act!
