We work closely with planetary science groups at JPL to conceive and test new instruments and methods for life detection, focusing on icy worlds such as Enceladus and Titan. We are interested in chemistry at the low temperatures of these environments that might lead to molecular precusors to life... Glycosylation plays a vital role in biology as one of the most important forms of protein post-translational modification. We have developed novel reagents for glycan capture, isolation and structure analysis.
