Amber joined Key Murray Law as an associate in our Mill River and Summerside offices after completing two summers and her articles with the firm.
Amber graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Prince Edward Island in 2017 before obtaining her law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 2020.
Amber is building a general practice, with a keen interest in family law. She is passionate about helping individuals understand and access the justice system. Amber is enthusiastic about bringing a trauma-informed approach to helping clients with their legal problems and is committed to meeting the individual needs of each client.
Outside of the office, Amber likes to spend her time cooking, reading, and catching up on her favourite TV shows. Amber lives in West Prince with her husband, daughter, and the family dog, Finn.

Barry is an Associate Lawyer of Key Murray Law, practicing primarily out of the Souris office, but he also meets with clients in Charlottetown to accommodate their schedules and needs.
Barry has strong roots and ties to Eastern Prince Edward Island, as he was born and raised in Souris, Prince Edward Island, and still resides there on part of his family's home farm.

Cynthia Taylor was born and raised in Prince Edward Island and completed her education at University of Prince Edward Island (B.A., 2003) and University of New Brunswick Law School (LL.B. 2007).
Cynthia represents clients who have been injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents, slips and falls, and pedestrian accidents, as well as representing clients whose family members were involved in a fatal accident.
A dedicated professional who has represented clients in the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island and the Prince Edward Island Court of Appeal, Cynthia has dedicated her professional life to serving the legal needs of Islanders. She is an active volunteer with the Law Society of Prince Edward Island, and she is a past President of the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association and the PEI Branch of the Canadian Bar Association.

Shannon Farrell is a partner in Charlottetown with a focus on family law, administrative law, and litigation. Shannon has a background in nursing, graduating first with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at St. Francis Xavier University before going on to Dalhousie to study law.
Shannon has extensive training in alternative dispute resolution and hold certificates in mediation, collaborative practice and interest-based negotiation. Shannon is a member of the Family Dispute Resolution Institute (Atlantic). Shannon is being recognized for the first time in the 2024 edition of Best Lawyers in Canada® in the practice area of Family Law.
Shannon is also an experienced litigator and she routinely appears at various levels of the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island, as well as before various other regulatory boards and tribunals. She is active and committed to her profession and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association (PEI Branch President 2006-2007) and the Law Society of Prince Edward Island, where she chairs the Ethics Committee.
Shannon serves on the Board of Directors for PEI Citizens Advocacy, is a member of Confederation Singers, and is an avid hiker and kayaker. She lives in Charlottetown with her husband.
Derek Key KC is a practicing lawyer at Key Murray Law. In his more than 40 years of experience in legal practice Derek Key has earned multiple professional accreditations and awards. Among the most recent: he was included in the Best Lawyers in Canada® directory in the practice areas of Corporate Law and Real Estate Law for 2024.
Derek is also recognized as a leading practitioner in the 2024 Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory for Banking, Corporate Commercial and Property Development.
His practice also includes Property and Real Estate Law services including; planning, approvals, financing, and implementation of business strategies. He has worked with and appeared before all levels of the Prince Edward Island tribunals; municipal and provincial planning boards; city councils; and each of the three levels of courts.
Derek's service on several boards at the local, provincial, and national levels has provided practical experience that he shares in resolving governance challenges and assisting clients develop strategic directions.
As a partner with the firm, Derek practices primarily in the Summerside office of Key Murray Law and also meets with clients at the firm's office in Charlottetown. From his time as a summer student and article clerk with Key Murray Law, Derek gained valuable experience prior to joining the firm as ab associate. He has appeared at all levels of court in Prince Edward Island, and is able to quickly identify client legal issues and devise practical solutions.
Derek graduated from the University of Ottawa's Canadian Law Program with both J.D. and LL.L. degrees and is fluent in both French and English.
An active member in his Island community, Derek currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Summerside, the Boys and Girls Club Foundation of Summerside, the Prince County Hospital Foundation and the Community Foundation.
Derek enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys.
Scott Dickieson KC recently joined Key Murray Law as counsel and is based out of our Charlottetown office. Scott is a well-respected member of the Prince Edward Island legal community with 35 years of experience. His primary practice areas include Business & Corporate Law and Property & Real Estate Law. Scott also practices Civil Litigation, Employment Law, and Estate Planning. Scott has been very active in the community volunteering for both the Law Society of Prince Edward Island as well as many groups and organizations including Watermark Theatre, Prince Edward Island Arts Council, and the Friends of the Confederation Centre to name a few.
Scott is a Sessional Lecturer at the U.P.E.I. School of Business teaching Business Law.
Scott enjoys playing piano, tennis, and competing in the sport of Triathlon.

Iain grew up in Kensington and works primarily in the areas of municipal law, litigation and dispute resolution, employment law, and personal injury law. He has:

Represented individuals and corporations in the purchase and sale of residential and commercial real estate;

Iain holds the degrees of Juris Doctor (with Distinction) from the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law, and Master of Laws (LL.M) from Harvard Law School. He was awarded the John Teed Prize in Community Planning Law (2018), and successfully completed a judicial internship with the Honourable Justice Barbara L. Baird of the New Brunswick Court of Appeal (2018).

John Maynard is deeply committed to his clients and their success. John has extensive experience in criminal defence, fisheries defence, family law and personal injury claims. John has worked for the past 38 years with fishermen and farmers to help them achieve their goals. Other legal services include commercial litigation, personal injury, estate litigation, and real estate and commercial transactions.
As part of his passion for strengthening communities, John has an active real estate practice and assists clients with estate planning and services. John has a particular interest in fisheries law, both transactional and defending fisheries charges. An active community builder, John also runs a practice from Mill River that provides real estate and property advice, litigation services and wills and estate planning.

Lynn Murray is a senior partner with Key Murray Law, based out of our Charlottetown office. Her primary practice areas include civil litigation with an emphasis on insurance defence, employment and labour law, and administrative law. In September of 2023, Lynn was named a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a designation awarded only to those litigators who have also demonstrated the very highest standards of trial advocacy, ethical conduct, integrity, professionalism, and collegiality. She is listed in Best Lawyers in Canada® in the practice areas of Administrative and Public Law, Bet-the-Company Litigation, Insurance Law and Labour and Employment Law for 2024. Lynn was also voted "Lawyer of the Year" for Family Law and Corporate and Commercial Litigation in Charlottetown. Lynn Murray has built a reputation for her legal work and community outreach. Madison is an Associate Lawyer with Key Murray Law, practicing primarily out of the firm's Charlottetown office.
Madison graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University in 2019 before obtaining her law degree from Dalhousie University in 2022. While in law school, Madison spent a semester working at the Dalhousie Legal Aid Service and competed in the Kawaskimhon National Aboriginal Law Moot.
Madison joined Key Murray Law after completing her articles with the firm. She is currently building a general practice, with a particular interest in litigation. Madison enjoys working with clients to help them better understand and access the justice system. Pamela Stewart is a respected member of the Key Murray Law team, practicing from our Charlottetown office. With a focus in family law, Pamela is an experienced litigator representing clients before all levels of courts in Prince Edward Island. Her practice places particular emphasis on the breakdown of relationships, including separation, divorce, child custody, financial support, asset division, as well as relationship contracts including parenting contracts, cohabitation and marriage contracts. She also has had extensive training in interest-based negotiations (collaborative family law) and Parenting Coordination. Pamela is qualified as a Parenting Coordinator for the Province of Prince Edward Island.
Pamela Stewart has been a guest lecturer in at professional conferences related to family law and is the lecturer for the Family Law component of the Prince Edward Island Bar Admission Course.
Pamela has been recently selected by her peers for inclusion in the 2024 edition of The Best Lawyers in Canada® for her work in Family Law.

Stephen McKnight represents Key Murray Law as counsel in Summerside and is recognised as one of the leading corporate commercial lawyers in Prince Edward Island. Initially beginning his practice in Fredericton in 1975, Stephen practiced in New Brunswick until he moved to Prince Edward Island in 1985. While in New Brunswick, in addition to his practice, he was a lecturer at the University of New Brunswick in the Faculty of Law from 1976 to 1985.
