LIVING BY YOUR DESIGN - Key Persons
I formerly worked as a Technical Expert for the Social Security Administration, retiring after 37 years of service. While there I had the privilege of helping many experiencing "life-changing events" such as retirement, facing a disability, or loss of a loved one. I found this to be a challenging, yet fulfilling career and enjoyed helping the many people I came in contact with.
Because of that experience, I jumped at the chance to once again work with Older Americans or the children of Older Americans. As a child whose parents suffered from Alzheimer's Disease, I understand the challenges and many difficult decisions faced by their loved ones. I recently received the designation of Certified Senior Advisor® through the Society of Certified Senior Advisors®. My goal is to serve you, your loved ones, and our community as a trusted advisor to help you navigate through the many challenges and choices you may be facing. I have been in my current position with Living By Your Design since July 2016.
I was recently married and have moved to the Princeville area. I am enjoying getting to know my new neighbors and the area. My passions are my grandsons! I have the joy of watching them a couple of days a week and besides being exhausting, it is a special time watching them grow.
Steven Buttice, Founder of Living By Your Design, was passionate about empowering people to make important decisions during various life stages. Aging in particular presents unique challenges, especially when new healthcare issues arise and living needs change. The Living By Your Design Team is prepared to help Seniors and their Loved One's transition from living on their own to Assisted Living or Independent Living.
I have a Bachelor of Science, Health Service Management from Midstate College. I have 20 years of nursing experience ranging from home health, skilled nursing, GI, and most recently, utilization management. I worked for Humana Inc., for 10 years starting off as a customer service representative reviewing cases for appropriateness according to the policy the member had (Commercial or Medicare). I managed a utilization review team of nurses in IL, IA, and WI that visited members while hospitalized, assisting with discharge planning.
This year my husband and I will be celebrating 20 years of marriage. We have 2 adult children and 1 grandchild.
Our family attends St. Paul Baptist church. I spend my free time with family, volunteering, or traveling.
