Heather Little

Heather is the daughter of the original founders James and Linda Guay. Originally from upstate New York, her fondest memories are of working in the garden with her family. From an early age she knew that she wanted to work with nature and gardens. That came to fruition upon moving to California in 1991. She began her journey into landscaping by studying Horticulture and Landscape Design at Santa Rosa Junior College. Continuing her education, she obtained her QAL in 2016, adding that to her diverse resume. She's been an integral part of the company since 2004 and has worked in the landscape construction field for over 25 years, varying from nurseries to high-volume construction firms. Working alongside James and Linda has instilled a strong work ethic and passion for her work. She's involved in every aspect of the business, and is now the Lead Designer, dedicated to creating customized designs as unique as each individual client. Working closely with them, it inspires her creativity, ultimately bringing their ideas and wishes to life.

Tim Little

Tim, our Construction Superintendent, joined the Manzanita family in 2015, with an extensive and diverse knowledge of the construction, roofing and waterproofing trades. He is a three-fold proficient team leader with an extraordinary work ethic. Further enhancing his numerous skills, is his expert fluency of the Spanish language. His down-to-earth good-naturedness is a major benefit to working with both our clients and team members. A Northern California Native, he's enjoyed nature all his life, making working outdoors an effortless progression. Married to Heather Little in 2000, his interests gradually shifted towards landscape construction. An extremely talented artist, Tim has an innate sense of creativity and ingenuity. Aspects of which he applies to all of our projects. His propensity for excellence drives him to regularly expand his already broad base of expertise. He is always researching new ways to better approach the common challenges of our trade.
