McKenzie Vets was established as a mixed practice by Alex McKenzie in 1955 and has been offering veterinary services to the local community ever since. Alex worked hard to create a loyal client base and excellent reputation, both values we continue to hold dear and develop today... McKenzie Vets is accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and we are proud to have achieved the status of General Practice. We are also a Sliver Award Cat Friendly Practice and all our clinical staff have received Fear Free training... In 2019, the clinic became a dedicated "small animal" vet practice allowing us to significantly increase the level of care we give our patients. We now have a sterile theatre with modern anaesthesia and surgery equipment, multiparameter monitoring, digital x-rays, ultrasound, comprehensive in-house laboratory, air conditioning to keep pets (and clients) comfortable and the ability to offer laser and acupuncture treatments.
