Ron and Sue started to move their farm towards a more sustainable organic system in the early 1970s due to salinity in the property's house dam... Their farming approach was changed to take into account the inter-relationship between different aspects of the environment. Changes included putting into place a whole new concept of water capture and management and fencing off tracts of natural bush between the paddocks to allow birdlife to move readily all around the property.
