Hello! My name is Amy Wharry. I am a registered nurse in the operating room. I graduated Cum Laude from the nursing program at Delaware Technical and Community College in 2004. In 2012, I became certified as an operating room nurse and went on to graduate from the National Institute of First Assistants in 2013. I have 17 years of experience working in the perioperative setting. Most recently, I had the challenge of navigating the ever-changing world of health care during the Covid pandemic. Keeping up with the most current guidelines, open communication and an adaptable attitude allowed me to continue to provide safe and optimal patient care during a tumultuous time. I also have a passion to share my professional skills with children in need. As a medical mission volunteer, I've made six trips to South America to provide free surgeries to children with facial, head, and neck congenital deformities. These trips have given me a greater appreciation for the importance of the health and well-being of all children.
