Michael Yeung - CEO

As the founder and president of the Simon Fraser Bitcoin Club (Canada's first blockchain association), Michael has explained blockchain on Global TV, CBC Radio, The Vancouver Sun, Huffington Post, and numerous national and international publications. Michael learned of blockchain in 2011 and quickly developed a genuine interest in spreading the technology onto universities. He possesses a positive reputation within the Canadian blockchain scene and has advised students across Canada and beyond on how to pursue their own blockchain initiatives. He is also a member of the Bitcoin Foundation and has presented on blockchain alongside David Andoflatto, VP of Research at the St. Louis Federal Reserve. With a keen understanding of the overlap between practicality and innovation, Michael is determined to making blockchain technologies useful for the everyday user.

Scott Nelson - CTO

Scott is the Chief Technology Officer for dana.io, a crowdfunding startup based on the Buddhist principle of unconditional giving. Scott has over 25 years experience as an information technology steward. His expertise includes implementation of commodity and re-purposed hardware, open standards and free software - Ubuntu for servers & workstations, Android for tablets and mobile - as well as the Bitcoin protocol and social media strategy and web service development centered around the Drupal Web Community Framework. Scott is also the co-founder of Free Geek Vancouver and Indymedia, and have sat on several non-profit, progressive boards including the BC Council for International Cooperation, Vancouver Community Net, Society Promoting Environmental Conservation, and the Artists' Legal Outreach Society.
