Andrew R Garrett

Dr. Andrew Garrett was born and raised in Orem, Utah. After 12 years away, he is delighted to return to the area to establish a comprehensive practice in adult Neurology. Dr. Garrett has a wide range of experience in Adult Neurology. His areas of special interest and expertise include the management of migraine and other headache disorders using botulinum toxin and nerve block procedures. He also has experience treating a variety of movement disorders with botulinum toxin, specifically cervical dystonia, post stroke spasticity, and hemifacial spasm. He has extensive experience in routine neurophysiological testing, including the use of EMG and nerve conduction studies for evaluating compressive neuropathies and cervical/lumbar radiculopathy, as well as routine electroencephalography in the evaluation of epilepsy. Andrew and his wife Suzana recently relocated from San Diego, California with their six children, where he served as a medical officer in the United States Navy and Assistant Professor of Neurology for the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. During medical school, he completed a Master of Public Health with a focus on database Epidemiology and also holds a Master of Science in Microbiology from Brigham Young University.

Brandi Spencer

Practice Manager - Brandi Spencer loves hiking with her husband and two dogs and has a passion for good friends and hot coffee. She attended Medical Assisting school at Hawaii Medical College in 2012 where she received her certified medical assisting certificate and joined Rock Creek Neurosurgery in July 2014.

Denise Haugen

Receptionist - Denise Haugen joined the Rock Creek Neurosurgery family in September of 2017. She loves adventure hiking with her dogs and running away from zombies. You will find her in the Payson location with a head set on and a bucket of candy to share.

Dr. Kevan Whipple

Dr. Kevan Whipple graduated from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania in 2000, as one of the first graduating classes in the United States to offer a Doctor of Physical Therapy program. While there, he completed a residency in electrophysiology and neuropathology, including NCV and EMG studies. That foundation led to many years of additional experience and training in EMG and nerve conduction testing. Dr. Whipple has extensive experience in both orthopedics and electrodiagnostics. He is board certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in both orthopedics and electrophysiology.

Janey Reyes

Medical Assistant - Janey Reyes graduated from Provo College with a certificate in Medical Assisting in 2013. She worked in pain management at Granger Medical in South Jordan for 3 years. She and her family recently re-located to Springville and she joined Rock Creek Neurosurgery in March 2017.

Samuel Murphree

Sam Murphree was born and raised in Cullman, Alabama but has spent the last 5 years in Birmingham, Alabama after completing Physician Assistant school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Sam recently moved to Utah with his wife, Faith, and his two dogs Bailey and Sadie. When Sam isn't in the operating room he thoroughly enjoys hiking, exercising and going to the many National Parks in Utah and the surrounding states. Sam is also a huge Auburn University and Atlanta Braves baseball fan. He looks forward to the many adventures ahead and helping provide excellent patient care to all of Rock Creek Neurosurgery's patients.

Sarah Simmons

Sarah Simmons was born and raised in American Fork, Utah. She is a wife and mom to 4 kids, 3 girls and one boy. She loves traveling, trying new things and anything that keeps her outdoors, running, hiking, paddle boarding, gardening and backpacking are at the top of her list. She has worked in nursing the past 20 years throughout Utah county and received her master's nurse practitioner degree through Spring Arbor University. Sarah loves healthcare and wellness. Her ultimate passion is seeing patients progress through treatment and healthy lifestyle. Professionally she looks forward to continued learning and growth within the medical community and personally, spending time with family and experiencing new adventures.
