Allison J. Davis is a Partner with the firm of Silber & Davis and has been with the firm since November, 2000. Ms. Davis graduated from the State University of New York at Albany, Cum Laude and with Honors in Philosophy. Ms. Davis earned her law degree from Nova Southeastern University, with the following Honors: Cum Laude, Law Review, Moot Court Society, Best Appellate Brief, Book Awards - Legal Research and Writing, Contracts, Corpus Juris Secundum Award for Excellence in Contracts. Ms. Davis is admitted to the Florida Bar, the Federal Bar for the Southern District of Florida and the United States Supreme Court Bar. Prior to her joining the firm, Ms. Davis was an Assistant State Attorney with the Palm Beach County Office of the State Attorney. As an Assistant State Attorney, Ms. Davis was lead counsel on hundreds of felony and misdemeanor jury trials, juvenile and dependency proceedings and termination of parental rights trials. Ms. Davis is a member of the American Justice Association, the Palm Beach Justice Association and the Florida Justice Association. Ms. Davis has served on the Board of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers (FAWL). Ms. Davis has authored several seminar articles on topics such as Insurance Litigation, Florida Sanctions Law, Mental Anguish, Admissibility of Scientific Evidence and Expert Witnesses. Louis M. Silber is a Partner in the firm of Silber & Davis. Mr. Silber graduated from the University of Maryland where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Silber was an Assistant State Attorney for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County. Subsequently, Mr. Silber became a member of Cone, Wagner, Nugent, Johnson, Hazouri and Roth law firm. Within a very short time, he became a partner with that firm. In 1983, Mr. Silber and Barbara Pariente formed the firm of Pariente & Silber, P.A., which lasted until 1993, when Judge Pariente was appointed to the Fourth District Court of Appeal by Governor Lawton Chiles, and was later appointed to the Florida Supreme Court. Mr. Silber is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell. Mr. Silber has been a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer since 1983 and is also Board Certified as a Business Litigation Lawyer, being re-certified in both areas every five years. He is a member of the Florida Justice Association, the American Justice Association (EAGLE Sponsor) and has served on its Board of Directors. He also is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and the Palm Beach Justice Association. Mr. Silber is a frequent lecturer for these organizations. Mr. Silber specializes in commercial litigation, insurance coverage and bad faith, consumer litigation, class actions and personal injury. Mr. Silber has been awarded the Palm Beach County Civil Litigation Pro Bono Award, the Palm Beach County Property Pro Bono Award for his work in foreclosure litigation for homeowners, the Top Litigator Award from the American Civil Liberties Union, the Planned Parenthood Special Advocacy of Women Award, and was the first male to receive the Susan B. Anthony Award. Mr. Silber presently serves on the Senior Judge Qualification Committee and is Vice Chair of the Fourth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission.
