Linda Jean Sampson, Esq. received her bachelor's degree from Russell Sage College. While working full time in the field of corporate taxation, Ms. Sampson attended the evening program at Pace University School of Law, in White Plains, New York where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 1985. After earning her J.D., Ms. Sampson worked in the tax department of Mobil Oil Corporation, Inc. in NYC. Her early work background was concentrated around corporate and international taxation. Her passion for Estate Tax Planning began in 1983 when she published an article for the CPA Journal on the Inclusion of "Life Insurance Proceeds in a Decedent's Estate." Ms. Sampson's fulfilling career has spanned the disciplines of Real Estate, Property Tax Appeal, Real Estate Financing, Special Needs Planning, Elder Law, and Estate and Gift Tax Planning. Ms. Sampson has devoted her career to the individualized attention of each of her client's unique financial and tax planning needs. Her practice is concentrated in the areas of: Medicare and Medicaid Planning, Financial Planning for Creditor Protection, Wills and Trusts, Health Care Proxies, Living Wills, Estate and Gift Tax Planning, Elder Law, Probate and Administration of Estates, Guardianship, Veterans Extended Pension and Eligibility and Benefits, Family Limited Partnerships, Business Entity formations including LLC's, and Real Property Tax Abatement and Exemption Services. Ms. Sampson is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association and sits on a number of Law Committee Sections including: Elder Law & Special Needs; Real Estate, Trusts & Estates. Ms. Sampson is a member of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers. In addition to being a licensed attorney in New York and New Jersey, Ms. Sampson holds a Real Estate Broker license and is an active member of several county Realty Boards. Ms. Sampson employs her considerable real estate experience to assist both commercial and residential clients in the reduction of their property tax burden by lowering their assessments through tax certiorari proceedings. Her property tax valuation experience is also a valuable tool in the estate and tax planning arena potentially saving her clients thousands of dollars by making timely saving elections.
