David Alexander brings over 25 years in executive positions in the retail Point-of-Sale technology industry to his position as president and CEO. He has over 15 years of CEO-level management experience with two start-ups in the information technology and electronic payment systems industry. Both companies enjoyed enormous success, from a shareholder and market perspective, achieving liquidation values many times the value of invested capital and dominant positions in their relative markets. As president/general manager of TeleCheck Northwest and Check Services Northwest during the late 1970s, the company's annual sales grew from $250,000 to $2.5 million. During the early 1980s, David joined VeriFone, Inc. as its Vice President of Sales and Marketing from start-up through to leading the company to become the world's largest manufacturer of POS terminals. He launched his own company, Electronic Transaction Corporation (ETC/SCAN) in 1985, building the company into the largest electronic check authorization service in the country with 70% market penetration. After selling ETC to Deluxe Corporation, David advised CEOs of Fortune 1000 companies on issues relating to corporate development strategies, financial restructuring, sales and marketing, and transaction management/facilitation. In 2001, David joined Peripheron Technologies as President and CEO. Under his strategic leadership the company grew to become a leading supplier of solutions for point of sale and thermal printing. In addition to manufacturing its' own line of products for the point of sale market, he developed new business opportunities by providing international manufacturing services for a number of leading edge technology companies. He earned his BA in business at the University of Washington. David lives in Seattle with his wife and two children. When he is not working, David enjoys the outdoors (fishing, camping, hunting, skiing, and golf), world-wide travel, cooking, and working on his log cabin.
