Dr. Amanda M. Olsen O.

Dr. Amanda M. Olsen attended Pacific University College of Optometry near Portland, Oregon after completing her Biology degree at the University of Regina. During her fourth year optometry school externships, she had many training opportunities including time in Colorado and North Dakota. Dr. Olsen was honoured to receive the William Feinbloom Low Vision Award at graduation, awarded to a student who demonstrates an aptitude in the clinical care of patients with low vision. During her time at Pacific, Dr. Olsen served as a liaison between students and faculty by serving as her class president as well as chapter president of the Canadian Association of Optometry Students. She also volunteered for numerous Special Olympic Vision Screenings and participated in a weekly elementary school reading program, encouraging literacy and fostering a love for reading at a young age. Born and raised in Estevan, Saskatchewan, and having worked three summers as an optometric technician at South East Eyecare, Dr. Olsen is proud to provide eyecare in her hometown. Dr. Olsen is happy to provide comprehensive eye care including primary care, contact lenses, refractive surgery co-management and ocular disease. She has a special interest in specialty contact lenses (including scleral lenses), myopia management and dry eye. Dr. Olsen enjoys crocheting, puzzles, and spending time with her family and her husband, Travis Frank and their dog Claire. She is actively involved in the community through the Rotary Club of Estevan, where she recently served as the club President. She is a Director for the Saskatchewan Association of Optometrists as well as the Optometry Examining Board of Canada.
