Mark J. Sarni

Mark J. Sarni is the owner of South Bay ADR. In addition to his work as a mediator and arbitrator, Mr. Sarni also is an attorney licensed to practice law in all federal and state courts of California. Further, Mr. Sarni has worked as Associate General Counsel for a nationwide commercial real estate brokerage firm, served as Vice President within the litigation department for an international insurance company and has been "of counsel" to an AV rated law firm in Southern California. He currently serves as a volunteer mediator and settlement conference officer for the Los Angeles Superior Court and also serves, as needed, as a temporary judge. Recently, Mr. Sarni was honored by the court for having served as a temporary judge for over 40 calendar dates in 2022. Mr. Sarni also has served as a mediator for the California Academy of Mediation Professionals and the Center for Conflict Resolution. He was previously engaged as an ADR consultant for Southwest SELPA, an agency comprised of 12 school districts and dozens of charter schools located largely in the greater South Bay area. Mr. Sarni is a member of the Southern California Mediation Association and has also been a member of the Benjamin Aranda III Inns of Court. He also serves in an "of counsel" role to Gore & Associates, A Professional Law Corporation in Torrance. Mr. Sarni is an arbitrator panelist and a mediator panelist for the prestigious American Arbitration Association. Mr. Sarni is also a mediator panelist for the California Association of Realtors ("C.A.R."). He also has been certified as a mediator by the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Mr. Sarni has a broad based background in civil litigation with experience in the areas of business law, insurance law, real property law, personal injury law, employment law and family law. He is a graduate of the world renowned Pepperdine University Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution (LL.M.); Whittier College School of Law (J.D.); and, the University of Southern California (B.S. in Business Administration with emphasis in Real Estate). Mr. Sarni is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker and has completed C.C.I.M. coursework. Mr. Sarni lives in the South Bay with his wife, Karen, his daughter, Karma, and his dogs, Walter and Cleo.
