A nationally known writer and speaker, Kathy Malloch has been a registered nurse for 40 years. Kathy has published extensively in proctored health journals. She is a frequent presenter and author on leadership topics, healing environments, professional nursing practice, and patient classification systems.
Most recently, Dr. Malloch has served as the first program director for the Arizona State University, College of Nursing and Health Innovation, Master's in Healthcare Innovation program. This innovative, multidisciplinary program is the first of its kind in the country. She continues to teach in the leadership of innovation track in the nursing doctoral program at Arizona State University.
Kathy is the designer of the Expert Nurse Estimation Patient Classification System (ENEPCS), an innovative model to integrate the role of the professional nurse in daily nurse-patient staffing to achieve the best outcomes. In 2008, ENEPCS was purchased by API Healthcare and is now integrated into their suite of staffing, scheduling, time and attendance, and business analytics products. She currently consults with API Healthcare, Inc. in the oversight of the patient classification system.
Kathy is a graduate of Wayne State University, College of Nursing, received an MBA from Oakland University and a PhD in nursing from the University of Colorado. She is a member of the American Academy of Nursing.

System planning and design accomplishments include: • Design and Implementation of the Innovation Cycle and supporting infrastructure that produced several new prototypes for clinical delivery.
• The development of a $12 million, 55,000 square foot simulation training center for competency-based training to reduce errors and accelerate clinicians' learning.
• The development and implementation of an "e-med-surg model" with remote care technology integrated with a novel multi-disciplinary care-delivery model.
• Oversight and integration of the remote critical-care model.
• The development and implementation of a regional patient placement model that substantially increased volume with an annual contribution margin of $ 60 million across 12 facilities.

Sharon Cox is a nationally known speaker and healthcare consultant with over twenty years experience in leadership development and system wide culture change. She has conducted seminars and consulted with over 400 hospitals in the United States and Canada and has developed a reputation as a thought provoking and energizing presenter. As President of Cox and Associates and leadership consultant with Tim Porter-O'Grady Associates, Inc. the focal points in her consulting practice include leadership development, team building, change management and promoting shared decision making both in Nursing and across other disciplines. Prior to consulting she held a variety of positions ranging from staff nurse to faculty and administrative roles in academic health centers.
Sharon has published in professional journals and developed audio visual materials which support her work in organizational development and horizontal integration. In Sharon's work with Tim Porter O'Grady Associates, her focus is on facilitating management development around moving from a parental approach and hierarchical model to more of a collaborative work environment. Many organizations have found her work relating to reframing the Nurse Managers role in shared governance to be instrumental in their long term success with shared decision making and timely in relation to creating a culture for retention.
Sharon received her diploma in Nursing from Georgia Baptist Hospital and her Baccalaureate and Masters in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia. She is on the editorial board of Nursing Management Magazine and is a co-author of The Nurse Manager's Toolkit published by HCPro. Dr. Tim Porter-O'Grady has been involved in health care for 48 years.
Dr. Tim Porter-O'Grady has been involved in health care for 48 years and has held roles from staff nurse to senior executive in a variety of health care settings. Tim is currently senior partner of an international healthcare consulting firm in Atlanta specializing in health futures, organizational innovation, conflict and change, as well as complex health service delivery models. He is noted for his work on professional governance models, clinical leadership, conflict, innovation, complex systems, and health futures. As Professor of Practice and leadership scholar at Arizona State University, College of Nursing and Health Innovation, he co-lead the implementation of the new Masters, PhD and DNP tracks in Health Innovation; He was also Clinical Professor and Leadership Scholar at the Ohio State University College of Nursing in the DNP program and is currently a member of the Dean's Advisory Board and a clinical professor at Emory University, School Nursing, Atlanta, GA.
Dr. Porter-O'Grady holds graduate degrees in clinical leadership, 2 earned doctorates; one in learning behavior and a second in organizational and systems leadership. In addition, he received a Doctor of Science degree, honoris causa, from the Medical University of Ohio. He is multi-board certified as a nurse executive; and advanced practitioner (APRN-CNS) in gerontology, and as a board certified wound specialist. Tim is also certified by the Georgia Supreme Court's Office of Dispute Resolution as a registered mediator and arbitrator. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing and is a clinical Fellow in the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists. He practices in the Mercy Care Street Medicine Program in Atlanta.
Tim has published extensively in health care with over 200 professional journal articles and 26 books and is an 9-time winner of the AJN Healthcare Book of the Year Award. He has consulted internationally with over 600 institutions and has lectured in over 1000 settings world-wide. He has held offices in professional associations and national and community boards such as the vice chair of the governing board of Catholic Health East, governor with Sigma Theta Tau International, president of AID Atlanta, and the Sigma Theta Tau International Foundation, and Chair of the American Nurse's Foundation just to name a few. Among a number of honors, Tim has been recognized by the American Organization of Nurse Executives with their Lifetime Achievement Award; by the American Nurses Association with its Luther Christman Award and received the President's Award from the American Academy of Nursing.

Ginny Beeson is a nurse executive, consultant and educator with over 30 years experience in healthcare.
Ginny Beeson is a nurse executive, consultant and educator with over 30 years experience in healthcare. She was a Navy nurse for most of her career, serving as nurse manager, Director of Navy Medicine's Leadership Development Program, Deputy Director of the Navy Nurse Corps, and chief nurse executive. She retired from the Navy in June of 2003 as the Chief Nurse Executive at The National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. Since 2003, she has worked as an independent consultant/coach/teacher conducting workshops and seminars for hundreds of hospitals and health care organizations around the country. Her primary work involves building leadership capacity and changing/ transforming organizational culture in support of a more positive, productive and professional workplace. Her past experience in the Navy's leadership program, where she taught doctors, nurses, dentists and health care administrators, and her many years as a nurse executive, provide a rich background from which to draw, and make her "home" in any educational setting. Her knowledge and passion come through in engaging, realistic and lively presentations. Her entertaining and inspirational style has led to numerous requests for presentations, workshops and keynote addresses at national meetings of healthcare organizations, hospitals and numerous colleges and universities around the country.
