Gerry Lorenz, proprietor of Whippletree Farms Antiques started his business some thirty five years ago at the Wauconda Orchards in the sleepy resort community of Wauconda, Illinois. Twenty years later in 1997, he acquired the former Blackburn and Broughton Hardware store located in the business district on Main Street, and christened it, "Whippletree Farms Antiques," where it remains today.
