ACADEMIC CHOICE - Key Persons

Claire joined the company way back in 2010 and has therefore been here far too long! During her time with Academic Choice, Claire has filled most roles at some point. For the past 5 years Claire's focus has been to lead on compliance as well as operations, liaising with client schools, looking after our teachers and allocating teachers into vacancies. Claire enjoys the "early shift" where she services all day to day needs for schools, but often works from home late into the evening and at weekends. A Mum of three grown up children, Claire spends time away from work with her family and her grandaughter. Claire is a highly valued and well-liked member of the team - what would we do without her?

Kate, or Brown Owl as she's known to her Brownie pack is responsible for all things financial. Invoicing, payroll and dealing with HMRC take up most of Kate's time. Other responsibilities include general office management, dealing wth suppliers and making sure that we don't run out of coffee or loo roll! Out of work and apart from Rainbows, Brownies and Guides, Kate enjoys spending time with her 3 grown up children and her three grandchildren. Kate can also often be found walking, camping, cooking and generally leading an active life. Kate is also partial to the odd biscuit!

Richard founded Academic Choice in 2009 following a career in the secondary sector having held the roles of Head of year, Head of Faculty and Assistant Headteacher. A father of 4, Richard's spare time is busy but he enjoys cycling, the outdoors in general and can still occasionally be found on the rugby pitch. Richard leads on all things operational at Academic Choice, his experience in schools, network of contacts and his current role as Vice-Chair of Governors at a local primary school all contribute to his ability to work with schools at all levels.
