Dave Hawley

Dave joined the Slater Financial team in June 2021. He has spent his entire career in Financial Services, and has been advising clients for over 30 years. His career path started at Lloyds Banking Group where he successfully undertook a variety of roles in their Private Banking division, including advising High Net Worth clients. The last position held there was national head of their Will writing, Estate Administration and Trust Management business during which he gained a significant amount of knowledge on such matters as Inheritance Tax planning. After leaving Lloyds in 2010 he joined Coutts Bank at their Head Office in The Strand, London within their International Department as Business Manager to the Americas teams. During this time Dave also achieved Chartered status as an investment adviser. In recent years he has focussed on pension advice and has an excellent understating of how to effectively structure both pre and post retirement planning strategies. Dave's extensive experience gained as a financial adviser is additionally supplemented by a high level of intergenerational wealth planning capability and cross jurisdictional knowledge.

Phil Slater

Owners and Directors Phil and Debbie Slater have over 50 years' combined industry experience having worked in the financial sector since 1987. Phil is the company's M.D. and holds the IFS Diploma in Financial Planning (including Financial Services Regulations and Ethics and Advanced Financial Planning). Since his time as a mortgage and insurance Advisor with a leading High Street bank, Phil became a personal financial Advisor after completing the Certificate for Financial Advisors in 1996 before starting his own IFA company in 2001. He also holds the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CEMAP), and is a member of Institute of Financial Services (IFS).
