Adam Matthews was founded in 1983 by Adam Matthew Burckle. Adam established Adam Matthews with one oven, a baker's helper, and his mother's time-tested family recipes. That is when the Adam Matthews Famous Original Cheesecake was born. Since then, Adam Matthews has sold more than 10 million cheesecakes alone. Over the years Adam Matthews has expanded the scope of its operation, adding retail locations, wholesale accounts, and a wide variety of southern style baked goods, desserts, and confections... Today Adam Matthews Baking Company (AMBC) services wholesale accounts nationwide in addition to 9 retail storefronts in the Louisville, KY, and Indianapolis, IN areas. Over the years, our business has grown as has our facility. We recently completed a large capital investment project at the bakery to completely overhaul our infrastructure and equipment.
