God's original intent in creation is for human beings to be healthy: spiritually, physically, and intellectually (1 Thess. 5:23). Jesus Christ was wholly God and wholly man. He came as man so that He might suffer and die for man's sin and restore the dominion that was lost because of sin. He had to be human to truly represent us and to be able to die-but he had to be God because only God could accept His death as full payment for all of our sins. He became as we are so that He could be touched by our feelings and identify with anything we are going though and thereby become our Perfect High Priest and Advocate sitting at the right-hand of the Father interceding on our behalf...
