I have always had an interest in understanding and helping others, and have been in private practice as a licensed clinical social worker since 1986. I received a degree in Clinical Social Work from Adelphi University, and a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work from the American Board of Examiners. I received a Certificate of Psychoanalysis from Manhattan Institute of Psychoanalysis in 1995, after completing a 5 year advanced course of study. I also have advanced training in overeating, parenting training, and 2 externships in "Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy".
