We believe that Jesus Christ is "the real thing" and that life in Him is the only real life anyone will ever experience. With original sin came darkness, but with Jesus there is LIGHT and ABUNDANT LIFE. As we come closer to His Light and Life, we become more like Him, which includes being more open - more "real" - because He IS the real thing. That is why Bread of Life Church is called "A Real Church for Real People". We are not seeking a religion or a tradition, but the person of Jesus Christ... Founded in October 1974, Bread of Life Church is a full-gospel, non-denominational church. Our first meetings were held in the Chapel of the Lynchburg General Hospital. From there, we moved to Forest Hills Shopping Center, where we met until April 1980 when we moved to our present facilities...
