CARLISLE ACADEMY
Updated 65 days ago
Carlisle Academy is incorporated in the State of Maine as an L3C, which is a "low-profit limited liability company". Under IRS guidelines, this means the entity is a social enterprise putting purpose over profit. While an L3C has a social mission at its core, donors still need to go through a 501 (c) (3) to give a tax-deductible donation for charitable and educational activities. Due to the nature of our work and the desire to keep our programs affordable and accessible, all of Carlisle's community programs require a subsidy to operate. Our charitable fund, Friends of Carlisle Academy was set up with a non-profit fiscal sponsor in order to receive tax-deductible gifts to extend these charitable benefits to more people and maintain Carlisle Academy as a valuable community resource...
Carlisle Academy's vision is to create a positive impact through educational leadership, innovative curricula, emerging research, and effective business models.
