Amber Brady is the Administrative Assistant for the entire Sanders campus. Amber is the first voice that most people hear when they call the Sanders Community, and she is often the first smiling face that they see when they walk through our doors. Amber helps keep the Sanders Community running smoothly by arranging transportation, keeping the administrative team organized, and so much more. Amber joined Riverside in July 2021. Born and raised in Portsmouth, VA, Amber moved to Alabama in 2012 and lived there until 2020, moving back to the area to be closer to her family. She now lives with her family in Middlesex County and loves it. She has had a long career in the healthcare industry in many different areas, with Sanders being her first inpatient experience. She finds her job very rewarding and looks forward to being here every day. Outside of work, Amber enjoys spending time with her husband, Devin, and her four wonderful children. She also loves decorating, cooking, and baking.

Angie Oliver

Angie Oliver is the Nurse Manager of Heron Cove Two at Sanders. Angie ensures the safety and security of her team and residents of her building. Angie makes sure that her building runs smoothly and is compliant with all state and federal regulations. She oversees staffing, training, and supporting those who work in her building, as well as making sure that her residents have the best experience possible while at Sanders. Angie began her career with Riverside in 2016. She has 25 years of experience in geriatric care and is currently bridging the gap from her LPN to get her license as a Registered Nurse. She is originally from Middlesex County, VA and has worked at Medical Facilities of America as the Charge Nurse of the skilled care unit and was the Unit Manager for Mizpah Health Center. When she is not working the floor, Angie loves to play with her grandchildren and enjoys anything water or beach related, especially if it includes her family.

Barbara Weldon - CMO

Barbara Weldon is the Marketing Director for the entire Sanders campus. Barbara is here to help you and your family find the right level of care for you or your loved one. She can help answer your questions about taking that next step in caring for your loved one. Contact her if you would like information about Sanders Independent Living in one of our cottages, Sanders Assisted Living, or long-term care in one of Sanders' amazing Heron Cove households. She has been with Sanders since October 2018. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in Journalism, and Master of Business Degrees in Marketing, Project Management, and Human Resources. Born and raised in Southwestern Pennsylvania, Barbara moved to Virginia to attend Liberty University, where she met and married her husband, Tim. Together they have four children who are nearly grown. When Barbara is not helping find the perfect level of care for seniors, she is with her kids or outside helping her husband with their little farm in Gloucester.

Brigitte Jones

Brigitte Jones first began her career in retirement living in 1989 and came to Warwick Forest in 1998. Brigitte started as an office manager where she wore many hats but quickly grew to become the Resident Services Director. She is an alumnus of Christopher Newport University where she graduated with a degree in business and a minor in psychology. Brigitte loves working with residents to create and maintain an exceptional community and prides herself on the many relationships that she has made along the way. Brigette was born in Frankfurt, Germany where her father was stationed and lived there until she was three years old. Eventually his orders sent him to Ft. Eustis, and she has been a part of our local community ever since. Brigitte loves working out, watching movies and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter.

Casey Nicole Baggett

Casey Nicole Baggett became an employee at Riverside Smithfield in 2002. She begun her career here as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She became a Certified Medication Aide and is currently in the role of admissions coordinator in Smithfield's long term care and rehabilitation center. Nicole is a native of Smithfield, Virginia. When able Nicole enjoys attending her children's soccer games, spending time with family, and going to the beach.

Charles O. Frazier

Dr. Frazier received a B.A. in chemistry and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Virginia in 1983 and 1987, respectively. He received his family medicine training at the Naval Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina and served in the United States Navy as the senior medical officer of the USS Frank Cable (AS-40) and as a family physician at Naval Hospital, Newport, Rhode Island. He was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal three times during his naval service. Since joining the faculty of the Riverside Family Medicine Residency Program in 1994, Dr. Frazier has held several positions in the health system, including director of the residency, director of medical informatics, and vice president of clinical innovation. He enjoys the challenge of applying the current medical evidence to the care of our patients by embedding that evidence within the electronic health record. He lives in Williamsburg with his wife, Lisa, and their three sons.

Chris McHose

Originally from upstate New York, Chris moved around frequently as a son of a minister. His family enjoyed annual vacations to Williamsburg, where Chris wanted to someday live permanently. Outside of work, he enjoys cycling, playing guitar, boating, traveling, & reading. Chris loves his time with his wife, son & daughter, and their labradoodle.

Debbie Ebel

Debbie Ebel, Director of Rehabilitation Services at Riverside Lifelong Health and Rehab Smithfield, managing the skilled Rehab, Assisted living and Memory Care units for the entire campus since 2016. She is a Physical Therapist and has worked in many settings but found her passion working with the geriatric population early on in her career. She graduated from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. She has traveled and lived in different states and even countries, and has found Smithfield to be an embracing community with a wealth of history. She particularly likes the whole family connection through the residents, family and Smithfield team. "I have learned so much from the residents, they love to tell me stories of the "Good old days". She along with her Rehab team comprised of Physical therapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists take pride in providing quality care and services for all the resident's needs. "The best part, is that we are able to provide Rehabilitation services to the resident when they come in for short term rehab, transitioning to Assisted living or in the Memory Care units. The same team of professionals will provide therapy for the entire campus, and this allows for a continuum of care as long as the resident resides with us." Outside of work, Debbie enjoys spending time with her young grandchildren and traveling with her husband.

Debbie Asbell is the Director of Nursing at Sanders. As the Director of Nursing, Debbie ensures that all buildings across the Sanders campus are fully staffed with well-trained clinical staff. Dr. Ross Younger - CIO, SVP

Dr. Ross Younger is currently the senior vice president and chief information officer of Riverside Health System in Newport News, Virginia. Dr. Younger received his training in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He practiced locally with Ear, Nose, and Throat Physicians and Surgeons, a Riverside Medical Group practice, from 2000 to 2013, then transitioned to a full-time Informatics role with Riverside. He has served in multiple roles in the health system including Director of Medical Informatics, Associate Chief Medical Information Officer and most recently Vice President/Associate Chief Information Officer and Associate CMIO. In his technology role at Riverside, Dr. Younger has implemented initiatives to improve communication between clinicians and information systems personnel, enhanced processes around implementing and optimizing IT solutions and played a key role in the implementation of Riverside's electronic health record system. Dr. Younger received his Bachelor of Science in biomedical and electrical engineering from Duke University, Doctor of Medicine from the University of Virginia, and a Master of Business Administration with a certificate in Health Sector Management from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Dr. Younger and his family reside in Newport News.

Ebonie's career began as an LPN followed by attaining her RN in 2005 from Thomas Nelson Community College. She enjoys caring for those in their golden years. Outside of Patriots Colony, Ebonie enjoys spending time and travelling with her husband, their 3 sons, daughter-in-law, 2-year-old grandson, and furry doodle pup. She enjoys volunteering at the Newport News Performing Arts Festival and participating in the annual Alzheimer's Walk.

Edward Heckler

Ed joined the Riverside team in 1997. Throughout his many positions, he has remained dedicated to high quality, patient- centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration and the operational success of the organization. His 21 years of experience across the health care spectrum, from physical therapist to manager to multi-department director, gives him a unique and valuable perspective. In his current role, Ed oversees Riverside's seven nursing facilities, three assisted living facilities, three continuing care retirement communities, home health, hospice agencies, wellness centers, and rehabilitation services. Under his leadership, all facilities received at least a three-star rating under the five-star CMS rating system, in addition to achieving the Virginia Health Care Association Bronze Award for Quality Improvement. Prior to becoming vice president for Lifelong Health and Aging Related Services, Ed served as administrator of Riverside Rehabilitation Institute, a 50-bed acute rehabilitation hospital, creating significant financial and patient satisfaction improvements. He holds a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from the University of Buffalo and a master's degree in health care administration from MCV-VCU. Ed lives in York County with his wife and two children. Ed Heckler joined the Riverside in 1997. Throughout his many positions, he has remained dedicated to high quality, patient/resident-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the operational success of the organization. His over 26 years of experience across the health care spectrum from physical therapist to manager to multi-department director and administrator, gives him a unique and valuable perspective. Ed currently serves as a Senior Vice President for Riverside Health System, leading the Lifelong Health Division and Support Services throughout the health system. The Lifelong Health Division includes all Riverside Senior Living Communities, Riverside At Home Agencies, Riverside Wellness & Fitness Centers, Riverside Therapy Group and Outpatient Therapy Centers. Ed is passionate in his role working with the Riverside team in providing services that offer choice, independence, and autonomy for older adults in a place they can call home. Prior to his current role as Senior Vice President, Ed served as the Administrator of Riverside Rehabilitation Institute, a 50-bed acute rehabilitation hospital, creating significant financial and patient satisfaction improvements. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Buffalo and a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Jason O. Houser - Chief Legal Officer, SVP

Jason Houser joined Riverside in 2005 and serves as the Senior Vice President & General Counsel. As the chief legal officer for Riverside, Jason provides and manages legal services and compliance efforts, including compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, assignment and supervision of outside retained counsel, and advising senior management and the board on all legal matters. Prior to joining Riverside, Jason practiced healthcare law with Venable LLP in Baltimore, Maryland, where he advised hospitals, physicians, long term care facilities, and pharmaceutical companies in such areas as anti-kickback, Stark, Medicare and Medicaid, certificate of need, health occupations discipline, joint venture formation, and asset acquisition transactions. His work ranged from providing HIPAA Privacy Rule educational sessions for physician practice groups to preparing responsive documents to investigations by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the U.S. House of Representatives. Jason is admitted to practice law in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. Jennifer Hughes

Jennifer Hughes joined Riverside Health System in 2015. Jennifer was a volunteer for five years before joining the Riverside Hospice team as a volunteer coordinator. She transitioned into a Medical Social Work role with the team after earning her master's degree. For more than seven years, she has been educating the community and families of hospice philosophies, setting up hospital discharges with Riverside services, supplying community resources, and supporting families throughout the peninsula. She is proud of the lasting relationships she built over the years. In addition to her duties with Riverside, Jennifer worked with a local non-profit in the mental health and substance use field. Jennifer earned an Associates in Early Childhood Education from Virginia Peninsula Community College, formally Thomas Nelson Community College, a Bachelor's in Human Services and minor in Psychology from Old Dominion University, and a Master of Social Work from Simmons University. Jennifer is a Newport News native, with two furry children, Steu and Fiona. She is married to her high school sweetheart. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, camping, crafting, amongst other activities.

Jesse Goodrich - CHRO

Jesse joined Riverside Heath System in 2003 as a Human Resources Assistant and quickly moved into the role as Senior Human Resources Coordinator. In 2007, Jesse briefly left Riverside to work for HealthSouth (now Encompass Health) in Fredericksburg, Virginia as Director of Human Resources where she successfully helped HealthSouth lead human resources management while opening a new hospital. In 2012, Jesse returned to Riverside as Director of Human Resources for Riverside Doctors' Hospital and was part of the initial leadership team opening Riverside Doctors' Hospital. Her role expanded to include management of human resources for all Riverside facilities in Williamsburg. Jesse moved to the Vice President of Human Resources role in May 2018 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in September 2021. In her current role, Jesse oversees human resources, benefits, compensation, workforce development, employee occupational health and diversity, equity, and inclusion. In addition to her role at Riverside, she currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Greater Peninsula Workforce Board and on the board of Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia. Jesse holds a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and English from James Madison University. She has several certifications, including her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Certified Human Resources Professional (SHRM-CP)

Judy Simmons joined Riverside Smithfield as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 1991. She is originally from Surry,Virginia. Julie Bayly rejoined Riverside after a brief retirement, she has served in several interim leadership roles across Lifelong Health during her retirement. She previously worked at Patriots Colony from 1999-2002 as the Assistant Administrator overseeing the convalescent center, assisted living and the health clinic. She then went on to work at Riverside Convalescent Center in Saluda, and she served as the Administrator for Sanders Retirement Community in Gloucester. Julie has a degree in Health Care Administration from Mary Baldwin University. She enjoys spending time and traveling with her husband of 20 years and two children.

She moved to Williamsburg in 1987 and worked for The College of William & Mary, the Jamestown Yorktown Foundation, & USAir in areas of marketing and education. Prior to Patriots Colony, Kathy was the senior director of community relations & communications at Williamsburg Landing. Kathy likes to spend time with her son, daughter, son-in-law, and 2-year-old grandson. She enjoys daily walks & book discussions with her Book Club.

Liz Sarson

Liz Sarson joined the ChooseHome Riverside team in December 2023. Her two decades in business development, marketing, and operations across diverse industries brings a unique perspective to the team. Prior to ChooseHome, Liz spent seven years in government contracting supporting operations and education efforts surrounding public health programs in over 30 states across the U.S. Efforts included initiatives focused on vulnerable populations, including seniors. Having recently assisted both her mother and mother-in-law with their long-term care needs, Liz has both firsthand knowledge of - and a deep appreciation for - the work that ChooseHome does for its members. Liz holds a Master's Degree in Marketing from the University of Technology, Sydney (Australia), and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Rutgers Business School in New Jersey. Martha Hunt - CMO

Martha Hunt first became employed at Riverside Smithfield in 1982 as director of social services & volunteers. As time progressed Martha also became responsible for activities. Martha then went on to become the Director of Assisted Living and then the Director of Marketing. She is originally from the southwestern part of Virginia. Martha has a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Virginia. She is also a licensed Assisted Living Administrator In the state of Virginia and has served several terms on The Board of Long Term Care Administrators for the state of Virginia. Martha enjoys walking, travel, and spending time with family.

Martin Clebowicz

Martin Clebowicz is the Head Chef at Sanders, Active Senior Living by Riverside. Martin joined the Sanders team in January 2021. Marvin Green

Marvin joined Warwick Forest in December of 2022 as the Food and Nutrition Services Director. Prior to this, he worked for two other Riverside facilities, as the Food and Nutrition Services Director for Riverside Lifelong Health and Rehabilitation Warwick Forest and as the Director of Dietary Services for Riverside Sanders. Marvin started his career with Riverside Health System September 2013 as the Dining Operations Manager here at Warwick Forest however, his desire, passion, leadership, and experience for the food service industry spans over 3 decades. Before coming to Riverside, Marvin worked in the chain restaurant industry for over 20 years, starting with Chi Chi's Mexican Restaurant, working his way to General Manager prior to the company going out of business. Marvin continued his career in the private sector working as the sales and service manager with Seasons Café in Williamsburg, Virginia, capping his chain restaurant experience with Olive Gardens holding several positions as culinary manager, service manager, and sales manager. Marvin currently serves in The United States Army Reserves, with 36 years of service (Active and Reserve Duty), Marvin has served in multiple leadership positions stateside, as well as overseas in Kuwait, and Iraq. Marvin's leadership experience includes positions held as Senior Non-Commissioned Officer In-Charge at an Iraqi Regional Training Center, Iraq, U. S. Dr. Mike Dacey joined Riverside Health System in January 2018 as Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Operations Officer, he became President and Chief Operating Officer in 2019. He assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer on January 1, 2023. He previously served as president and chief operating officer for Kent Hospital and served the Care New England Health System (CNE) from 2000 through 2017. During the three years prior to joining Riverside, Dr. Dacey oversaw Kent Hospital, a community teaching hospital with 2,200 employees and a medical staff of over 700 physicians. He was also appointed president of Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, a Brown University School of Medicine teaching hospital during 2015. In an earlier role, Dr. Dacey served as chief clinical integration officer for Care New England and oversaw the Care New England Physician Organization. He was also involved in a number of other areas with Care New England including work with their medical group, value-based care and quality and safety. Dr. Dacey earned his medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, finished his internal medicine residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, completed a multidisciplinary critical care medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and earned a Master of Science in health care management from Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Dacey is highly respected for his clinical work as a hospitalist and intensivist as well as for bringing expertise and a patient-focused approach to his leadership roles.

Dr. Michael Oshiki is a native of Washington, DC and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree, with a double major in zoology and history. Following seven years as a combat arms officer in the US Army, he went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the Uniformed Services University and completed a residency in Family Medicine at DeWitt Army Community Hospital Fort Belvoir, VA, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Oshiki also earned a master's degree in National Resource Strategy (Heath Strategy Concentration) at the National Defense University Eisenhower School. During his 35-year Army career, Colonel (Dr.) Oshiki served as the commander (CEO) of William Beaumont Army Medical Center (an academic medical and trauma center in El Paso, TX), and Fox Army Health Center (a multidisciplinary outpatient health center in Huntsville, AL). He served in operational assignments as a command surgeon (Chief Medical Officer) from every level from battalion to corps in both conventional and special operations units. He also served in clinical assignments as a department chief at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA and McDonald Army Community Hospital in Newport News, VA. His final assignment was serving at the Pentagon as the Assistant Deputy for Health Affairs in the Office of the Secretary of the Army. In the spring of 2022, Dr. Oshiki retired from the Army and joined Riverside as the President of Riverside Regional Medical Center. In August 2023 he assumed additional duties as the President for the Acute Care Division of Riverside. He continues to serve on the National Advisory Board for DNV Healthcare and the Board of Trustees for the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences Alumni Association.

Nathan Yowell is the Administrator of Sanders, Active Senior Living by Riverside. As the Administrator of Sanders, Nathan is responsible for the daily operations of the entire Sanders campus. The Administrator is responsible for making sure that our residents are well cared for, that the Sanders Campus is running well, and that Sanders remains compliant to all regulations set by local and federal standards. Nathan has been at Sanders since June 2022. He has a Bachelor of Science in healthcare administration with a minor in business from James Madison University. Nathan was previously worked as the Administrator of the Williamsburg Landing Nursing Community. He is originally from Williamsburg where he currently resides with his lovely wife, Alexa, and his vibrant daughter, Blair. His daughter, Blair is still very young, so he spends his time trying to keep up with her. He wants to ensure that she has the best upbringing possible. They are within driving distance to both sets of grandparents, and they greatly value family. When Nathan is not at work or spending time with family, he enjoys working out and staying busy with house projects.

Paul E. Evans

Paul began his tenure at Riverside during his residency. After completing his training at Riverside Regional Medical Center, he went on to practice family medicine for the health system. In 2006, he and his wife, Dr. Teresa McConaughy, opened a new Riverside practice, Patriot Primary Care, in Grafton. After seven successful years, Dr. Evans began splitting his time between Riverside PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) and Patriot Primary Care. Eventually, Dr. Evans was drawn toward serving the older population at PACE and transitioned there full time, soon becoming the Medical Director of Riverside PACE. Dr. Evans has served in various capacities throughout the Lifelong Health continuum, including providing geriatric consultative work at CEALH and being named the first director of the Riverside geriatrics fellowship program. He is also an assistant clinical professor of family practice at Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to his residency at Riverside, Dr. Evans attended the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He is Board-certified in Family Medicine.

Sally Hartman joined Riverside in 1994 and is a senior vice president for Riverside Health System where she oversees strategy, marketing, payor relations, decision support, and process improvement. Prior to her current role, Sally was focused on directing the system's human resources efforts and was responsible for the optimization of this function to better serve the organization. This included streamlining and standardizing operations and the deployment of human resources shared services. Sally also served as vice president/executive director for Peninsula Health Care, a joint venture insurance company owned by WellPoint and Riverside Health System that provided HMO and PPO products to over 120,000 residents of the Virginia Peninsula. Sally has also overseen corporate real estate development, occupational health and wellness for Riverside Health System. Sally holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Michigan State University and a Master in Business Administration from Northeastern University. She also holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources certification.

Staci Gorham

Staci Gorham is a native of Hampton, Virginia who enjoys spending time with her family and has a love for helping others. She graduated from Thomas Nelson Community College with two associate degrees in social science and science in 2005. She then transferred to Old Dominion University and graduate in the spring of 2007 with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science with a minor in recreational therapy. It was in that year she learned about occupational therapy. While doing her volunteer hours with occupational therapists at Riverside Rehabilitation Institute, she was offered a position as a rehabilitation aide. She was later accepted into Tidewater Community College's occupational therapy assistant program in 2008. After graduating in 2010, she transitioned to The Gardens at Warwick Forest as a certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA) where has been employed for almost 13 years with the last 4 years as a senior therapist. She is also a graduate of Riverside Emerging Leaders Academy (RELA) in 2021. She served as the interim director of rehabilitation here at Patriot's Colony since February 2023 and recently accepted the position permanently.

Steven L. Minter

Steve has served in the senior living profession for over 30 years. He joined Riverside in 2019 as Administrator at The Gardens at Warwick Forest. In his role as the Executive Director of Warwick Forest Retirement Community, Steve has responsibility for all operations which include the oversight and coordination of the services received by those who currently call or will call Warwick Forest home. Those services include but are not limited to dining, housekeeping, buildings and grounds maintenance, resident services (including event planning/ activities, wellness & fitness, and chaplaincy services), nursing services, security and marketing/sales. Prior to joining Riverside, he has held progressive leadership positions including General Manager for SeniorCorp, a private duty home care provider in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Director of Operations for Sentara Life Care Corporation in Norfolk, Virginia. In his career, he has been involved in a variety of senior living operations including adult day health care, meals on wheels programs and Program for All Intensive Care for the Elderly (PACE). He is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from East Carolina University and a Master's degree in Health Care Administration from Central Michigan University. He has remained active in the community serving on numerous state and local boards including Chairman of the Board for the Department of Medical Assistance Services in Virginia, and at-large board membership for Shell Point Village, Florida's largest single-site Continuing Care Retirement Community. Susan (Sue) Boisvert, joined the ChooseHome Riverside team in March, 2022 as our new Business Office Coordinator. Sue's career paths have been primarily in the healthcare sector as a re-credentialing specialist. Her previous job was working at the University of Virginia recredentialing physicians. She also did recredentialing for a managed care company in Connecticut. Her passion truly is with working with numbers and enjoyed several positions working at Webster Bank. Sue's banking experience contributes to the success of managing our invoices. She diligently follows up with discrepancies. Sue earned her Bachelor of Science in Business at Bay Path College in 2010 in Massachusetts. She also earned her Associates Degree in Data Processing in Connecticut upon graduating high school. Her hobbies include baking, especially for the Holidays and crocheting both baby blankets and prayer shawls. As the newest member of the ChooseHome team, Suzanne joins us with a deep history in social services coordination and advocacy. Prior to joining ChooseHome she served James County Social Services as a Family Services Specialist, navigating seniors to available resources and supporting guardians in decision-making requirements. Suzanne is trained as a Stephen Minister and Crisis Intervention Counselor (ICISF), and recognizes the importance of active listening, empathy, and non-judgmental presence in her work with others. Certifications include Life Celebrant from In-Sight Institute, Anger Management Counselor from Anger Institute, Counsel Care Connections, and Life Coaching, from Coaching Training Alliance. Suzanne began her education in West Virginia, at Webster College. Suzanne has coached individuals through difficult challenges and complicated losses and has received top ratings and national recognition in senior outreach programs.

Teresa (Terry) Sweaney

Terry joined Riverside six years ago after serving as the Executive Director of a non-profit whose mission was to provide adult day programs to the community. She previously served ChooseHome members as a care coordinator and member sales advisor. Terry also served older adults in the community as a principal in a physical therapy practice, geriatric care manager, and educator and brings with over 30 years of knowledge and experience to ChooseHome. Earning her Bachelor of Business Administration from Strayer University, Washington, D.C., she received a graduate certificate in Geriatric Care Management from the University of Florida. As a dementia consultant of families and persons living with dementia, Terry helped launch the Benjamin Rose Institute in Aging Dementia Care Consultation with Riverside Dementia Wellness Initiatives through The Center for Excellence in Aging. Terry also trains Riverside staff and community on the Teepa Snow Positive Approach to Care as part of Memory Care Academy. Terry believes in treating all persons living with dementia with respect and dignity. Terry serves the community as Vice-Chair of the Advisory Council for the Peninsula Agency on Aging. She is the board of directors for the United Methodist Church Respite Program and board of directors for the Hospice House of Williamsburg. Terry lives in Williamsburg with her spouse and enjoys gardening, golf, and spending time with her three grandchildren.

Terry coordinates the Riverside Health System's Board Quality, Safety, Service and Community Benefits Committee. She supports inquiry and innovation, to inspire and drive improvement across the health system. Prior to her relocation from Massachusetts, Terry held leadership positions at Children's Hospital, Boston, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Beverly Hospital, Lawrence General Hospital and MelroseWakefield Healthcare System. She was also elected to serve as president of the Massachusetts Coalition to Prevent Medical Error from 2016 through 2018. Dr. Tom Kayrouz joined Riverside in June, 2020, amidst the pandemic. After a twenty-five-year career in pediatric critical care medicine, teaching and physician-led health care leadership, he was named the Senior Vice President, President and Chief Medical Officer of Riverside Medical Group, overseeing the health system's 700 providers and 100 practice sites. In September 2023, he was named Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Operations Officer for the health system with responsibility for RMG, Service Lines, and Acute Care Facilities. Prior to joining Riverside, Dr. Kayrouz served as the Executive Vice President, Chief Physician Executive, for AnMed Health. He also served as the Chief Medical Officer for Atrium Health and Piedmont Health Partners, as a physician executive at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, as the Director of Pediatric Quality and Patient Outcomes at the Carilion Children's Hospital in Roanoke, and in various director roles in pediatric critical care services at the hospitals and clinics where he built his medical career. Dr. Kayrouz earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry at the Vanderbilt University College of Arts and Sciences in Nashville before moving on to the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed his residency, chief residency, and critical care in pediatrics residency programs at the St. Louis Children's Hospital at Washington University Medical Center. He also completed his Certified Physician Executive Certification in 2014.

His Greek grandfather was a chef and owned a restaurant, and his father is a chef as well. He is directly responsible for the financial operations of Riverside. His responsibilities include the management of accounting and finance, investments, treasury services, tax, revenue cycle, third-party reimbursement, supply chain, capital planning, construction, property management and food and nutrition services. Mr. Austin has more than 25 years of experience in audit, compliance, accounting, finance and operations. He served as a senior manager for EY, formerly Ernst & Young, a "Big Four" accounting firm that is one of the largest multinational professional services firms in the world. During his 13-year tenure at EY, his diverse client base included for-profit and not-for-profit organizations in the health care, government, biotechnology, finance and manufacturing industries. Mr. Austin served as Chief Financial Officer of Medarva Healthcare prior to his current role at Riverside. Mr. Austin earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Radford University. He is a certified public accountant, licensed in Virginia. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
