He has been instrumental in setting up the pelvic floor center and intestinal failure unit at Jaslok hospital... He has finished his MBBS from Seth GS medical college Mumbai and post-graduation (MS) at LTMMH hospital. After completing his basic training he left for the UK where is specialized in colorectal surgery over a period of 10 years. He has extensively trained to be able to tackle all types of colorectal diseases... His special interest is inflammatory bowel disease, pelvic floor, and bowel cancer and complex fistulas
